The word "that" and so on indicate the result. That result is also divided into far and near. The far result is the attainment of Buddhahood. The near result is acting according to one's wishes, and when entering the bhumis, obtaining the distinctions of qualities such as direct perception at all times from higher to higher. The term "quickly, quickly" means swiftly, swiftly. The term "accomplish" means to generate. The term "always also tending towards excellence" is a synonym for becoming the attainment of distinction. In some cases, when beings who are tamed by this approach, the Bhagavan himself causes them to enter into true retention. In some cases, even if requested, he does not explain, and it should be known that at that time there is no vessel for such Dharma. Now is the supplication, and "thereafter" and so on are spoken. If it is known that the Bhagavan wishes to explain, why supplicate the Bhagavan? It is precisely for this reason that bodhisattvas supplicate because they know that the Bhagavan wishes to explain, and without supplication, such Dharma is not explained, in order to proclaim the great nature of the Bhagavan and the Dharmas. Bodhisattvas who have non-conceptual appearances, because they have comprehended the nature of the Dharmadhatu, even if they have understood the meaning of the dharani, they are not satisfied with listening to the Dharma, and they supplicate in order to show others. The reason for rising from the seat and so on is to show respect to the Bhagavan, and to show others that one should obtain supplication in this way. The term "hearing and retaining" shows the great meaning of explaining the dharani, which is for the purpose of accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others. The term "appropriate attention" means to think and meditate on its meaning as it is. Although the Bhagavan, the all-knowing one, knows how explaining this dharani will cause others to accomplish great benefit for themselves and others, however, without supplication, the Bhagavan will not explain anything without meaning, in order to show others that after hearing the Dharma from the Bhagavan, they should diligently practice the dharani and so on, therefore this is supplicated. After supplicating in that way, considering permission, the Bhagavan to the retinue...

The fifth meaning, summarized for the purpose of making it a suitable vessel, is: He spoke of "therefore," and so on. This close connection is common, so it indicates the cause, and is connected with the word "speak." Or it is connected with "listen," and so on. If you accomplish it by listening, etc., therefore I speak, or because I speak, therefore you listen, etc. "Listen" means to listen attentively. "Well" means to hold without reversing. "Keep in mind completely" means to hold completely. This is to prevent the vessel from being upside down, unclean, and leaky, and to make it a suitable vessel in order. To say "speak" means that if that is the case, I will speak, otherwise, if the vessel is upside down, unclean, and leaky, it is like rain falling, then speaking is meaningless, that is the thought. Or I am only speaking, you must diligently accomplish listening and holding, etc. Otherwise, if the Bhagavan himself does everything, then at that time, due to the obscurations of unpleasant actions, etc., no sentient being will ripen in hell, etc., the Bhagavan will not do everything. Therefore, in order not to rely on the evil deeds of those sentient beings' bodies, etc., should the Dharma be taught? Or change the way of those bodies and minds. Bodies, etc., arise in relation to their own place, so it is impossible to change them into other things like bodies. Therefore, the Dharma is unchangeable, and sentient beings are the masters of karma. Therefore, the Tathagata says, you yourselves must accomplish it. Also, the doctor does not cure the disease, but the patient himself makes it worse. So it is said. "Listen like the Bhagavan" means to promise. Now, the Bhagavan uses "Bhagavan" to explain the meaning of the Bodhisattvas' abiding, etc., who are the listeners. For this, it is not distinguished by this, so it is not distinguished, thus.
