Therefore, this is the yoga of reversing attachment. The reason for saying "because it is the supreme of holding that" is because it is the main one for holding the correct Dharma. It should be known that this ground is distinguished by benefiting sentient beings and the patience of Dharma, just as it appears in the sutra. Since there is no manifest intentional yoga beyond this, it goes to the end of yoga. Therefore, by perfecting the path of yoga, all the roots of virtue become very bright. The example of the sun's light is shown by the example of the moon's light, because the former's wisdom is wider than the latter's, so the difference is shown. How is it? Because the sun's light is seen to overwhelm the moon's light. The rest should be combined as before. The reason is in seven aspects: the eighth ground is intended to be established. The grounds are the collection, and obtaining pure patience, and obtaining pure abiding, and the field is pure, and the so-called obtaining power, and the difference of greatness, and the distinction of definition. The reason is considered to be seven, this is the way of collecting the eighth ground, which has been well shown. There are seven grounds to be practiced, in order to practice the conduct of yoga well in them. Those collections are briefly stated. It is said: the collection of those is, explained by two reasons, generally what should be collected, and collected separately from each. The reason is in three aspects, generally wanting to collect, from each there are seven, this is established as a collection. The distinction has been well done, for the name of well distinguishing is the realization of the selflessness of Dharma and person, because it has been well done in these, so it shows that it is the seven grounds. If so, then if only the first one realizes it, then what is the difference between the second one and so on? It is said, realizing well from above to above, in order to show well the difference and realizing well in the difference. Through skillful means and wisdom, the path is very completely practiced.

Skillful means is great compassion. Wisdom is the realm of selflessness in phenomena. These two thoroughly train the path. Therefore, it is said to train the path of non-abiding. Accumulating merit means that on those seven grounds, because of extremely accumulating merit, the accumulation is perfected through combination. In general, accumulation is like that. The words "wishes have been thoroughly planted," etc., the remaining hundred verses, each is an accumulation. "Great wishes have been thoroughly planted" refers to the accumulation of the first ground. "The blessing of the Tathagata has been thoroughly blessed" refers to the second ground. The Tathagatas abandon the Hinayana and bless the mind to be more firmly focused on omniscience alone. "Obtaining the subsequent arising of the power of one's own roots of virtue" refers to the third ground. For example, because of obtaining samadhi and so forth that do not decline from being free from desire. "Mindfulness of the powers of the Tathagata," etc., refers to the fourth ground. For example, in order to establish the Dharma of the teachings as it is realized, it is established as it is. That is to show realization, because by entering into both as they are, one realizes them as they are. Therefore, purifying the obscurations of knowledge is the cause of attaining Buddhahood, and in order to attain it, one possesses mindfulness of it. "The capacity of superior intention has been thoroughly trained" refers to the fifth ground. For example, because the equanimity of mind is pure as it has been explained, the capacity of superior intention has been thoroughly trained. "Being superior through the power of merit and wisdom" refers to the sixth ground. For example, in sequence, being superior through the power of merit by great compassion. Being superior through the power of wisdom by analyzing dependent origination. With compassion and great love

The path of wisdom that has the means of not abandoning all sentient beings is called the seventh Bhumi's collection. How is it understood? In sequence, the differences in creating other paths are precisely not abandoning all sentient beings. By entering into the immeasurable realms of sentient beings, etc., it should be known as possessing the immeasurable path of wisdom. The collection here is indicated by two words. In the place to be completely purified, in a proper manner, relying on wisdom with diligence, through the means of gathering and expanding, after purifying the seven Bhumis, one obtains the utterly pure forbearance that is well distinguished by non-arising. Its utter purity is well distinguished by spontaneous accomplishment. The nature of phenomena being unborn from the beginning is not something that only appears now; however, these phenomena are only truly abiding. Where do they abide? In the direction of utter purity. Therefore, this is said to be the antidote to what already existed before. The antidote to what is newly existent is called unborn nature, not produced from what did not exist before, but these phenomena are only truly abiding from before, this is the meaning. The antidote to having characteristics is called having no characteristics, that is to say, those characteristics by which these could be represented, those do not exist. The antidote to existing at the later extreme is called having no arising, arising exists at the later extreme, not arising does not. It is like that in the direction of utter purity. In the direction of all afflictions, the antidote to existing at the former extreme is called imperishable nature, arising will inevitably perish, not arising will not, this is the meaning of this statement. The antidote to perfect existence is called endless nature, because ending is perfection. In utter purity, the antidote to whatever exists as the nature of all afflictions is called non-entering nature, entering becomes all afflictions, not entering does not, because of that. By nature, there is no birth, Dharma is called selflessness, Because of the nature of selflessness, It is called non-thing, By nature, there is no birth.
