Wherefore, because of being completely pure from defilements, it is said to be without defilements. Because of being without defilements, it abides in all conduct, what is this said? To those immeasurable wisdoms, which make manifest and abide, because of the desire of consciousness and mind, it is to make intention. Consciousness and intention, such as these, are inseparable, what is this said? The words "to those immeasurable wisdoms" mean that they also apply to the immeasurable realms of sentient beings, etc., as previously stated. The words "for making manifest" mean that by clearly grasping, etc., for the sake of truly understanding the characteristics, it is accumulated. Manifestly desiring is to make intention. Because it exists in all minds, the ten dharmas called Pāramitā (梵文:पारमिता,梵文罗马拟音:pāramitā,汉语字面意思:到彼岸) are perfectly accomplished, one should know that to be a great meaning. In each of those mind generations, the ten Pāramitās (梵文:पारमिता,梵文罗马拟音:pāramitā,汉语字面意思:到彼岸) of the Bodhisattva are also perfectly accomplished, what is this said? This is not distinguished because it has already been well explained in the Sutra itself. However, it is only the Ācārya (梵文:आचार्य,梵文罗马拟音:ācārya,汉语字面意思:轨范师) who makes the distinction himself. By four causes, one wishes to establish the concordant factors of Bodhi. In the context of the Mahāyāna (梵文:महायान,梵文罗马拟音:mahāyāna,汉语字面意思:大乘), establish the ten Pāramitās (梵文:पारमिता,梵文罗马拟音:pāramitā,汉语字面意思:到彼岸). In the context of maturing sentient beings, establish the collection of those. For the sake of purifying the afflictive obscurations, establish the places, etc. Where does one abide, what does one meditate on, and by what doors does one become pure? The places are the places of wisdom and truth, and abandoning afflictions, and the pacification of suffering. By wisdom, one abandons afflictions in the truths, and also pacifies suffering. Thus, this shows the four truths. By wisdom, the truth of the path is shown. By abandonment and pacification, the truth of cessation is shown. Afflictions and suffering are the truths of origin and suffering. One abides in those truths that have become places. What one meditates on are the concordant factors of Bodhi. By what doors? By the three doors of liberation. For the sake of purifying the obscurations of knowledge.

The establishment of the limbs of enlightenment. It is of four causes, namely, from "O sons of the Victorious One, thus," etc., to the saying that, in short, all the dharmas of the limbs of enlightenment are completely perfected in each and every moment. Among the preceding and following verses, the seventh bhumi has two distinctions. By the addition and subtraction of distinctions, two kinds of relations are established for the bhumis. This is because the lower bhumi is impure and has distinctions added, while the higher bhumi is pure and has distinctions subtracted. What is the addition of distinctions? It is because the conduct arising from effort is completely perfected. The conduct arising from effort is the path associated with manifest engagement. On this bhumi, the path of manifest elevation, together with its antidotes, and the path of manifest accomplishment are completely perfected. Wisdom should be understood as explained, which is the definite realization of all dharmas as they are. Therefore, it is said here that because the conduct arising from action is complete, and because wisdom and direct knowledge subdue conduct, all the Buddha's dharmas are properly generated, and the limbs of enlightenment are perfected. This is a summary statement that when all the Buddha's dharmas are properly generated and manifestly accomplished, the limbs of enlightenment are perfected. As it is said, "O sons of the Victorious One, the first bhumi of a Bodhisattva is aspiration," etc. Because wisdom and manifest application are fully accumulated with effort and diligence, they are established as inferior in relation to the higher bhumis. In the higher bhumis, there is no effort. Therefore, all afflictions, for what reason is there conduct with effort and diligence? It is not reasonable for all secondary afflictions to be practiced here. Therefore, it is purified, as it is said, "O sons of the Victorious One, from the first bhumi of a Bodhisattva onwards." It should not be said that the seven bhumis are extremely beyond the conduct of afflictions, because they are associated with manifest engagement. Manifest engagement is extremely [affected] by conceptualization.
