The so-called 'ma' refers to showing dependence, which means that if ignorance and formations are fully examined for the sake of this life, then the past extreme is fully examined. Others refer to what is needed to have a past extreme, or what truly exists as the reason for it, that is the 'tosapa' of the past extreme, the reason between the extremes. Why is it shown that way? Therefore, what arises now is the future 'past extreme,' so it is said. 'For the sake of this life' refers to being the seventh as a reason, therefore, the meaning of dependence should be understood as the meaning of cause, I think. The so-called 'for what' refers to asking what it depends on, becoming the dependence that arises now. Because others also show, so it is said 'what is the karma of the previous life' and so on. What does it show? Because this consciousness and so on are the result of the karma of the previous life, so that karma also does not produce results, for this meaning, it is the dependence that arises now, because the result and the cause are fully examined together. It is also said 'in order to uniquely determine the manifestation of existence,' which means that the formations caused by ignorance, as the object of dependence of the past extreme, although abandoned by those formations, as long as they have not approached existence and so on, they will not manifest existence, those that have approached will uniquely determine the manifestation of existence. From then on, 'also' and so on, are to increase the text. So, what does it fully show by raising so many dependencies of the past extreme and so on? The so-called 'not done' is because it has not been accomplished. It has been done, but it has also produced results, it has been done but has not produced results, if it has been abandoned by finding an antidote. It shows the doing itself and the not producing results itself, because of obvious fabrication, so it is specifically said 'formations.' 'Craving' and so on.

The word "taking" is completely summarized by the word "that." If asked, how is it that "not abandoned" means not abandoned by craving and so on? Therefore, it is said that "craving and taking are interdependent." This is to explain that when craving and so on are exhausted, karma is also exhausted, but it is not exhausted by its own nature. In this way, by striving on all grounds, one can avoid three faults. Just like this, the reason for saying "because of what" is that according to the previously stated reason, some actions have been done and some have not. There are two kinds of actions that have been done, namely, those that have already produced results and those that have not yet produced results. Actions that have not yet produced results are divided into two types due to the difference between abandoning and not abandoning. Therefore, there are six types of karma. Therefore, in order to completely avoid the first accusation, it is said "all at once with the body" and so on. Just like this, some actions have been done, but not all actions that have been done will arise and be experienced. Will it not arise and be experienced? It is not that it will never be experienced, so it is said, "It will not be experienced, nor will it all be experienced at once." This completely shows that the reason "because there is no difference in cause" is not established. The reason for saying "because what has not been done will not ripen" and so on is to show that the second fault is completely avoided. Because karma that has not been done will not ripen, then what will happen? Only what has been done will ripen. Therefore, in the continuum of others, because that karma has not been done, there is no ripening in the continuum of others; because it has been done, there is ripening in one's own continuum. Because it completely controls the continuum of body and mind, and the result arises from that very karma, the name of the agent is attributed to it. This completely shows that the reason "because there is no agent" is not established. In order to show the complete avoidance of the three faults, it is said, "If there are no three causes." The three causes are not doing, or having already produced results, or having been abandoned by finding an antidote. If there are none of these, the result will definitely arise. The fault of karma being wasted.
