From this passage onwards, it explains the principle up to "there is no agent." To fully understand by establishing the ultimate truth is to think in this way: for example, the three realms, etc. To establish the conventional truth is to grasp which of the twelve links of dependent origination, up to "arising dependently in ten ways." How is the establishment of proof after dividing the scriptures in this way? Starting from "how," etc., the meaning of the limbs will be explained, which is to prove selflessness. By what reasoning? It is said, "all worldly occurrences," etc. From "if separated from this," etc., it shows the pervasion and counter-pervasion. From "if the self truly exists," etc., it combines the pervasion and counter-pervasion with the self. The combination is that the cause of all worldly occurrences is the clinging to self, because it is the all-pervasive affliction of afflictions. Just like the all-pervasive afflictions of ignorance, etc. The dissimilar dharma is like the path. If the all-pervasive affliction of afflictions itself is not established, then? That is not the case, because it has entered into the aspect of inversion, just like desire, etc., it is itself an affliction. The very entry into the aspect of inversion is because of the manifest clinging to self in things like form, etc., which are selfless, because in the ultimate sense, they are selfless. This has already been established by one's own school, so it does not generate benefit. Establishing transcendence over it, if there is no self, by what reasoning does clinging arise there? Speak of this. The answer to this is that because of the mind of a child and ignorance, etc., the remaining causes, being completely ignorant of selflessness, cling to self. Becoming someone with the mind of a child is because of a small mind. After that, from "even if it is selfless," etc., it throws out all the arguments. Even though there are other afflictions, why only mention ignorance and stinginess? In order to answer this rebuttal,

It is said that it is because the branch is the root. This branch of existence is the main one, and therefore, the cause of those born from others is craving. Like selflessness, and as it is, how the world arises, just like that, the Sutra itself also clearly shows the reasons. How is it? Merit and non-merit, and unwavering actions, etc., are also explained in detail. Among them, not completely abandoned means not completely abandoned. Who has not abandoned it? Actions have not abandoned it. What is it? It is the seed of the mind. What is it like? It is with outflows, and with grasping. When is it? In the next life. What is it? It is the nature of birth, old age, and death, etc. The mind itself is also the cause of both existence and intermediate existence, therefore it is the seed. It itself shows with birth and old age, etc. The "manifest accomplishment" that appears in the Sutra refers to the existence of the intermediate state. The "existence" that also appears refers to the existence of birth. Because it approaches those that are gathered, it is approaching. Merit, etc., shows that it is in harmony with the sprouting of external sprouts. Among them, this is harmonious, just like sprouting sprouts, first needing a field, covering with fertilizer, moistening with the element of water, and external harm will occur, so it needs to be surrounded by fences, etc. All those also need to be combined with the internal, this is how it is shown. Self and, not by others. Not sending the thought of destroying oneself in advance means thinking "I will destroy it like this." The general meaning is this: relying on karma, consciousness arises, feeling arises in name and form, gradually, all six sense bases arise. After the six sense bases appear, joy arises for the objects. If one pursues objects, one returns to one's own karma. Which karmas suppress this? The old age, death, sorrow, etc. born from the cause of birth in the next life, the experience of suffering.
