Grasping is called having mindfulness. Although it is of one taste in emptiness, the distinctness of self-characteristics and common characteristics, etc., is the profound nature of reality; knowing that is called having wisdom. Knowing the profound intention is called having realization. The manner of these is the principle, for the sake of manifestly realizing its intention. The first is being learned in the Dharma, such as the Sutras. The rest are being learned in the meaning. One who has shame does not break the precepts he has taken, because he has taken and protected the vows, and because he has patience and certainty. One who has reliance does not completely abandon them at all times and in all places; in this way, the equality of discipline and the absence of faults are fully taught. One who has intelligence knows dependent origination. 'When this exists, this arises' is the antidote to the view of causelessness. 'When this is born, this is born' is the antidote to the view of dissimilar causes; the impermanent cause is permanent, which is a dissimilar cause. Therefore, the places and non-places are taught, in order to know the causes and non-causes. One who has the knowledge of realization is not led astray or robbed by other demons, outsiders, etc., because he has seen the path. One who has wisdom knows what is mixed in. What is mixed in is any mixed-in word that destroys the holy Dharma. Among them, as an antidote to the dark side, this is said by the perfectly enlightened Buddha, such as entering into the Sutras, etc., so it is a meaningful word. Because it contradicts this nature of reality, it is spoken by demons, etc., so it is known as a meaningless word, and it is known as a mixed word. Those with clairvoyance make those who have entered into bad refuges have faith and introduce them to the teachings. One who has skillful means fully matures sentient beings; in this way, the distinctions of fully grasping the qualities of mindfulness, etc., are established. The distinctions of practice are established by the twelve. How is it? Not knowing satisfaction.

It is indicated by "is" and so on. The arrangement for maturing sentient beings is indicated by the thirteenth (chapter). How so? By diligently striving in this way, even giving can mature sentient beings, and so on, that is, the four statements are indicated by the four objects of gathering. The complete display of the form body is for those who are attached to their own retinue. Teaching the Dharma is for those who are hesitant. Speaking of the conduct of Bodhisattvas is for those who have mistaken methods. Merely mentioning the greatness of the Thus-Gone One is for those who are completely weary. Showing the faults of samsara is for those who are very delighted in it. Completely showing the benefits of the Buddha's wisdom is for those who do not enter. For those of little intelligence, they are matured by the last words. Among them, the harm of forgetting the meaning and the harm of forgetting the action are combined and established as one, and this is also distinguished by two sentences. The antidote to this is writing, because in order not to forget the meaning of giving and so on, and the actions of doing and so on, the letters are written down and placed. The treatises on logic eliminate wrong views. The treatises on grammar eliminate little intelligence. The antidote to not hiding the fully accepted wealth is a hundred, because it hides. The antidote to being confused about gathering and arranging is arithmetic and divination, because one knows the gathering and arranging of those two. The imbalance of elements is emaciation and forgetfulness. Harm to sentient beings is demonic possession. The harm of diseases arising from causes is the blessing of rising corpses, because plagues and so on arise from performing killings and so on. Seeing the moon and so on wrongly, and bad omens and so on, which are obtained only by the maturation of defects in the limbs, one also knows the retaliation for the harm done by this. Among them, the ritual of vows is the discipline of vows, which is the antidote to the discipline of breaking vows. Meditation is the antidote to attachment to desire. The superknowledges are the antidote to bad refuge. The immeasurables are the antidote to wrong livelihood's merit. The formless ones are
