Why is that? This is to prevent some people from thinking that many Buddhas cannot appear at the same time. If the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, abide limitlessly in this way, why can't I become a Buddha? It is to generate great joy in diligence. Why are there definitely ten crore Buddha-fields? Because there is that number, and because it is the time of the ten bhumis. Why is it that those who dwell beyond the worlds equal to the dust particles of ten crore Buddha-fields are blessed, but those who dwell from here onwards are not? Because those and these have similar conduct. It should be known that the names of those Bodhisattvas are Vajragarbha. Regarding the phrase "Good! Good!", the sound "Good!" is used for praise and encouragement. For the time being, praise is like "Teacher, good!" Encouragement is like "After playing, it's been a long time, try to recite!" Here, it should only be regarded as praise. Saying "Good!" again is for special praise. The term "son of the lineage" means that in the lineage of the Buddha, he belongs to the son of those with good lineage, so he is the son of the lineage. The phrase "the past aspirations and blessings of the Bhagavat Vairochana" refers to the Bhagavat Shakyamuni Buddha Vairochana. Why is it called this name? It is said: Because he manifests various excellent dharmas to those who are to be tamed, he is Vairochana. He is Vairochana, like an ascetic. Another explanation is that because he manifests various appearances and makes people happy, he is Vairochana. Manifesting various qualities and making the wise clearly rejoice, that is its meaning, he is Vairochana. Another explanation is that Vairochana is the sun, because it overwhelms the stars and moon, and appears particularly bright. This Vairochana is the sun, meaning that it is born from his lineage. Thus it is said: The geese spread their wings, creating waves, with a myriad of rays. The light of Rishakapi.

A garland of light, clear as the sun. The wealthy one, like a healer, possesses a body. Vairochana, the friend, dispels the darkness like a sharp awl. Thus it is said. The meaning of "previous" as stated by the Bhagavan is as follows: Before bestowing blessings, the Bhagavan Shakyamuni prayed to the Bodhisattvas, blessing them by saying, "May this Bodhisattva be completely blessed with this name." Those who bestow blessings prayed and strived to bless, for prayer is the sole object of blessings. Shakyamuni, having prayed in this way, also blessed himself, and then others also blessed. Thus, Shakyamuni and others bestowed blessings. This is the meaning of "previous prayer" and "the blessing of one with previous prayer." Because the word "previous" is left alone. Why is this Dharma category said to be blessed? Because it is the first to be practiced, and it is the cause for the perfect accomplishment of the Buddha's Dharmas. Why is it said "blessing"? Why is it for the purpose of those actions? "To explain" is for the sake of explaining. The necessity of blessing is known, and if it is understood, one will wonder for what purpose the explanation itself is, and therefore ask the intention of "why blessing." How is it blessed? In what manner? The necessity is stated: it is for one's own benefit and the benefit of others. "How" refers to explaining with speech, mind, and body. Those who abide in the ground of practice through faith are those who have not entered the ground, that is, ordinary beings. The word "etc." includes those who have entered the ground, and the initial ones gradually understand the accomplishment of their own benefit by listening to this Dharma category, etc. Others, having correctly understood the meaning and words of this Dharma category, understand the accomplishment of the benefit of others by thoroughly explaining it, etc. Both of these are the blessings and initial accomplishments of Vajragarbha. The reason for blessing others has already been stated. This is the nature of Dharma in this way.
