It exists therein. The so-called "completely pure," etc., wherein, being free from suffering is the same as being without harm. Being free from suffering is the same as being without conflict. Attaining nirvana is the same as going to the city of fearlessness, and the latter two phrases are used to specifically explain it. Among them, the four words "should be completely protected" are the main words. From where should one be completely protected? That is, from where, from the all-pervasive afflictions of karma, one should be liberated; from the all-pervasive afflictions of afflictions, one should be completely purified; and from the all-pervasive afflictions of birth, one should be removed. How should one be completely protected? That is, how should one be established, relying on discipline to establish, and relying on higher mind and higher wisdom to establish. These two phrases are branches, explained by other phrases. Among them, in order to be established in discipline, one should be completely satisfied, and one should be truly established, these two phrases are revealed. Relying on concentration and wisdom, one should be tamed. Through the phrase "should be completely nirvana," it explains how to become a complete protector. The so-called "cultivating its path" is revealed through the phrase "showing the omniscient wisdom, that is, the wisdom of the Tathagata." The so-called "completely ripened" refers to sentient beings, revealed through the phrase "striving to protect all sentient beings." The so-called "realizing the ultimate," etc., the ultimate is the Buddha himself. He abides in liberation, which is the characteristic of the Dharmakaya. If one thinks that there is no other way to benefit sentient beings other than him, then such certainty is the realization of the ultimate. The ultimate of the Buddha, if there is no realization of all the characteristics of the ultimate of the Bodhisattva, it will not appear, therefore, in this way, it is the realization of achieving the ultimate. Achieving the ultimate is the nature of the ten bhumis (ten stages of the Bodhisattva), and if there is no non-conceptual wisdom contained in the lower bhumis, it will not appear, therefore, in this way, it is the realization of the higher state from before achieving the ultimate.

Regarding the nature of [things], it is said that there is no characteristic and no arising, relying on being free from both distinctions. Such ultimate wisdom of the ground, if there is no one skilled in meditation, then there is none. Therefore, one understands the successive stages of accomplishment until the end. Moreover, the word "also" indicates another collection. The former is a different basis. Now, the one skilled in meditation is truly certain, and is also a separate distinction, so it is a collection of the same basis. If the skilled one is not skilled in listening, then it is not so. Therefore, this is to combine him with the place of practice. The place of practice is being skilled in meditation, and his place is being skilled in listening. For some, the sound of "understanding" also appears. Here, it is combined for the sake of the place, and should not be combined for the sake of understanding. As for what is completely abandoned, worldly people give up wealth in order to completely abandon the harm to the body, but they also endure the harm to the body. For example, even a king would make great offerings, because there is a saying that it is better than obtaining the kingdom of a universal monarch. For example, do those who are born in higher realms and those who are pure in the world also make great offerings? It is like the order of Indra and Brahma. For example, does the body also make great offerings? As it is said, the three thousand great thousands of worlds, and so on. Joy and equanimity are with respect to those who are liberated, because they are satisfied by remembering the disappearance of their suffering, so they abide in joy, and because they have obtained the disappearance of their suffering and have no diligence, so they abide in equanimity. In the previous two grounds, there is also the abiding in meditation and so on, which is not absent, but only present, which is the concluding word. The two negative words are because they are not negative in meaning. For example, "not not doing" means "doing," which is similar to this concluding word. Among them, the first dhyana is separated from all desires, which means completely abandoning greed, hatred, ignorance, and things that become the object of arrogance, and abandoning forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches.
