Those are what kind of things? That is, they appear at the time of death, and seeing those sights, they die with regret and unhappiness, which is what is said as "seeing something light as heavy." These four faults are said to belong to those who seek in this life through misdeeds. The corresponding antidote to these faults is to cultivate the eye of wisdom. For those who seek in all future lives through good deeds, it is said: even walking on the right path is a fault. The so-called "nature," etc., here the "nature" refers to the terrible path of wandering in samsara, which is revealed by the very first sentence. There are eight kinds of obstacles, obviously tending towards the cliff, which means obviously tending towards the cliff of sentient beings' hells, etc. Entering into the cause is because of dwelling in the view of perversely taking suffering as happiness, which is what is said as "entering the dangerous place of the cause of evil views." Being completely covered by darkness refers to its cause, which is the characteristic of perversely viewing happiness, and its cause is the latent habit of ignorance. Because it covers, it itself is the darkness of ignorance, which is what is said as "being completely covered by the darkness of ignorance." It has already been said about those who are in accordance with the darkness of ignorance, but for those who are perversely attached, taking suffering as happiness, they do not understand the very nature of suffering itself, therefore, the latent habit of ignorance is its cause. Entering the wrong path refers to entering the wrong path of the five sufferings, etc., in order to obtain ultimate happiness and liberation, which is what is said as "entering the lost wrong path." Becoming blind refers to being blinded by the attachment of desire, which is what is said as "becoming blind." Being separated from the teacher refers to being born in a place without leisure, and even if born in a place with leisure, one does not please the Buddha due to the fault of carelessness. If one follows his teachings and protects the precepts, one can please the Buddha, but because these two kinds of people do not have the opportunity to practice, and are different from this, they will not please the Buddha. Therefore, those people will not be associated with virtue.

Because it is not suitable, it is separated from the teacher, the Bhagavan. What is said as "without complete guidance" is what this means. What is called "where to go" refers to Nirvana. The Brahma world and so on are only samsara. What is said as "regarding non-definite birth as definite birth" is what this means. "Also seized by robbers" refers to the eighth obstacle, and the word "also" is used in relation to the previous obstacles. For those who crave the realm of demons, all attached merits will also be exhausted, and what has not been done will not increase. Therefore, it is destroyed, which is what is said as "seized by the robbers of the path of demons." Desire itself is the path of demons, and because it robs virtuous wealth, it is a robber. In this way, suffering is revealed from the perspective of nature and obstacles, and then it is revealed from the perspective of exhaustion, elaborating on "three kinds of exhaustion" and so on. Because one dwells on bad land, it is said to be "separated from the wise who completely guide." Dwelling in the land of enemies is what is said as "entering the thick thought of demons." Being far from the land of grasping is what is said as "being far from the thought of the Buddha." In this way, from the external form and in accordance with the Dharma, from the perspective of nature, obstacles, and exhaustion, the suffering of samsara is revealed. The corresponding antidote to these is to liberate and place them in the fearless city of the all-knowing. In this way, through the uncommon, the insatiable, the gate of accumulating enjoyment, and the difference between right and wrong Brahmacharya, five ways of seeking desire are revealed, and then the explanation of seeking existence through the way of going begins, so it is said "from the way of going" and so on. The fault of sinking into the great river is that the form of that river is explained in detail, what is called deep refers to entering the river of desires and so on. What is called passing refers to the continuous passing of samsara. What is called name refers to entering the river of existence. What is called great power is revealed in two sentences: "driven by great power, without the power to act and see." What is called the former passed away.
