The name of not falling into a lineage is because it arises from the father, so it is said to transcend the lineage. When this noble queen of the king, descending with skillful means, gives birth (to a child), she also transcends the faults and degraded nature that come from a crucial point. Similarly, the Bodhisattva also, because he generates that mind. The Dharma King Buddha is born from the conduct of the noble queen Prajñāpāramitā, who descends with skillful means, and not from a lowly maidservant, so he transcends all crucial faults. For example, just as that child is embraced by the realm in which he is born and transcends where he died and transmigrated from, similarly, the Bodhisattva also, having generated the mind of ultimate truth, transcends the worldly realm, and is called the one who shows the realm beyond the world, this is the summary. For example, just as that child obtains a complete body, similarly, this also, because he has obtained the Dharma nature of a Bodhisattva, obtains a body of the nature of great compassion. How is that? Because it is said, "The needs of others are my needs," because he has obtained the equality of self and others, the needs of others are his own needs. For example, just as that child, after being born, will not be eaten by demons, but will dwell in a certain place, similarly, this also, because he possesses great compassion, even though he sees the path of Nirvana, he will not completely abandon Samsara, because he dwells skillfully, so he will not be completely defiled by afflictions. For example, just as that child, after being born, will be nourished by some food, similarly, this also is nourished by wisdom that equally regards the three times and possesses emptiness. For example, just as when a child is born, there will certainly be some perfections that are in accordance with the lineage and will not be eaten by demons, similarly, this perfection is also certainly the lineage of the Buddha and will not completely decline. Nirvana is complete Bodhi, and this alone is devoted to it. The term "thus" not only shows the similarity in the manner described above, but also shows the difference. How is that? Because it is said to be common and uncommon. What is said above? The mothers of individual ordinary people...

That which is called the mixture of semen and blood during pregnancy is also common to Bodhisattvas, so it is common, it is universal. These entries into the womb, only the first entry, do not have the characteristic of generating a mind that transcends the world, so they are not common, they are not universal. Similarly, one should understand the common and uncommon for those who transcend lineage, etc. Moreover, "it should be understood in nine ways," etc., refers to the fact that supreme joy alone is established in nine ways through the distinctions of its own nature, state, and function. Among them, realizing the four truths and having faith after knowing the Three Jewels is its own nature, which is the supreme joy of the beginning. Joy itself is supreme joy, because the object is the realm of dharma, and it is joyful and abides in it, therefore it is for the sake of joy. As it increases, that joy itself should be understood as the remaining supreme joys through the distinctions of higher and higher states and functions. Thus, this set of ten explains what supreme joy is like. Now, its object is shown by two sets of ten, among which is the first recollection and etc. First, the Buddha is the support, recollecting the form body of the support and the qualities of the supported. The second is to distinguish, only recollecting the qualities of the supported. The second is about their lineage, which is the recollection of Bodhisattvas and their conduct. If one asks what these two have as their object, the phrase "about their lineage" shows the object of these two. The word "they" indicates the Buddhas and Dharmas that are being referred to here. In order, it means: Thus, recollecting the Buddha's lineage is the first, and recollecting the Dharma's lineage is the second. Just as Bodhisattvas are called the Buddha's lineage because the Buddhas are born from there, the Dharma's lineage is the same, because the Buddha's Dharmas are born from the Bodhisattva's conduct. Although they are not actually different entities, in order to express different entities, the support and the supported are shown to be different entities, for example,

As explained earlier regarding the recollection of the Buddha and the Dharma, these are similar to that as well. Among them, in terms of practice, the recollection of the Buddha itself is also a limb, because the generally proclaimed recollection of the Buddha relies on individual characteristics. It is also a proximate limb, because from purity, the recollection of the Buddha and so forth should be distinguished. From the perspective of Bodhisattvas and their practices, the recollection of the Buddha itself should be understood from the stage of recollecting the cause of the Buddha alone. These Bodhisattvas and their practices should be understood as being in the future. That is in terms of the object that appears in the present, it is mentioned that "because of turning away from the enjoyments of ordinary beings" and so forth. Because it is to be practiced, enjoyment is the object, namely the five desirable qualities. Just as ordinary beings especially cling to and enjoy those, Bodhisattvas are not like that, so it is called turning away from the enjoyments of ordinary beings. Because they have entered a state close to Buddhahood, they do not engage in objects like ordinary beings, so the enjoyment is dissimilar. Because of being far from and close to the state of childhood and the state of wisdom, and because of obtaining bodies such as the lord of Jambudvipa who surpasses all beings, the body is the same. In "remainder" and so forth, practice is the activity of body, speech, and mind, and for ordinary beings, the practice is mostly of the nature of the ten virtuous actions, while for those who have generated the true mind of enlightenment, the practice is the opposite of that, so the practice is dissimilar. For example, a son's friend is the father, a father's friend is the son, the king is the friend of the subjects, and the subjects are the friends of the king, but this one is the friend of all sentient beings, but they do not become friends in that way, so becoming friends is dissimilar. They are dominated by the master of wealth because they have become slaves of craving, while this one is because of becoming the king of Dharma.
