Therefore, the word "conduct," and the word "elders," should also be understood in relation to the retinue, just as the word "village" is used to refer to the vicinity of the village. Because they have long practiced many Dharma teachings from the Buddhas, they respectfully serve them, which is the meaning of "accumulation." The sutra also says that they are extremely respectful and serve the appearance of the Buddhas. After hearing from them, because it arises from contemplation, they are able to think and discern well about the Dharma such as Prajnaparamita, therefore it is completely gathered and bestowed. The sutra says that the white Dharma is extremely gathered. If asked how to gather it? It refers to the white Dharma of the name of Prajnaparamita, etc., which arises from contemplation and is extremely excellent, and is extremely completely gathered, thus combining the sentences. In this way, discipline and samadhi are also completely pure. They have also heard many Dharma teachings from the Buddhas, and their own white Dharma has also been gathered, and they are able to comprehend themselves, and in order to enter the (first) ground from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, they have completely received the non-inverted teachings, corresponding to the decisive part, and are completely upheld by practicing the combined meditation, which is called "accumulation." The sutra says, uphold the virtuous friend. Some people think that the virtuous friends extremely uphold (them), or that (they) extremely uphold the virtuous friends, thus combining the sentences. Because they earnestly practice those teachings, they uphold them, and they also uphold them in the same way. In this way, they give the correct teachings, surpassing the stage corresponding to the decisive part, and thus entering the first ground, therefore, the mind is completely pure, which is "accumulation." The sutra says that the mind is extremely pure. In this way, the first two (accumulations) show that the Bodhisattvas' training in higher discipline and higher mind is completely pure. The latter four (accumulations) show that the training in higher wisdom is completely pure. These also have commonalities with the Shravakas, etc., in order to distinguish

Furthermore, what is said is for the purpose of benefiting all sentient beings, that is, to accomplish benefit, for happiness and joy, and to closely obtain their causes, and to completely abandon suffering and displeasure and their causes. Therefore, only these have superior intention, while the Shravakas and others do not, so it is extremely vast augmentation. The Sutra says, "Having vast superior intention." Because of desiring omniscience, which becomes the means of benefiting sentient beings, it is augmentation of aspiration. In other treatises, it is said that aspiration is the definite grasping of a definite object through the door of qualities, but here it is merely desire. The Sutra says, "Having vast aspiration," because omniscience is the most excellent of all things, therefore it is vast, and the desire for it is aspiration, that is, corresponding to it, this is the way to connect the words. Thus, in order to benefit sentient beings, one desires omniscience, therefore constantly manifesting love and compassion, and abiding in them, therefore it is augmentation of manifestation, through these two, looking at sentient beings, and not completely passing into Nirvana. The Sutra says, "Love and compassion manifest." Now, regarding the question of "Why does the mind arise?" etc. To this, the wisdom of the Buddha is the wisdom of the Buddha Bhagavan, that is, the nature of exhaustion and non-arising. It is explained by "Where is it?" etc. To this, complete knowledge is the truth of suffering. Abandoning is the truth of the origin. The word "unsurpassed" is connected with everything. Actualizing is the truth of cessation. Cultivating is the truth of the path. To this, belonging to the Buddha's lineage, the nature of wisdom, undifferentiatedly possessing all qualities, is called the wisdom of the Buddha. Now, dividing into nine kinds by the difference of activities, it will be explained with nine words. Among them, "In order to obtain the power of the ten powers" refers to the Buddha's wisdom of the nature of power, that is, the Tathagata is able to answer the questions asked by others without hindrance.
