Its nature is what? For example, fire is only hot, water is only wet, not other than that. Understanding those is the ultimate. The so-called "appropriate to what" is not understanding everything with everything. The so-called ignorance is like this: for the Buddha's inconceivable teachings, there is no opportunity to establish validity with reason. Those are not objects of speculation, therefore, for the Buddha's teachings, there is no opportunity to establish validity with reason. The so-called "in order to understand that" is in order to realize that. Thus, with the four reasons, one can teach all phenomena to those to be tamed in the manner of debate and response, therefore it is called unimpeded eloquence of reason. As it is said in the sutra, "Entering into differentiation with extremely well-purified wisdom," this is what is shown. What is "like that"? Extremely well-purified is the wisdom that is extremely well-purified, which is only understanding the four reasons. Differentiation is individual differentiation, which is also what is shown in the commentary as "appropriate to what." Because of entering into phenomena with this, abiding is only understanding, which is also what is shown as "in order to understand that." The so-called "regardless of order" is like when teaching the aggregates and so on, if one thinks, "After the differentiation of the form aggregate, it is the differentiation of the feeling aggregate," and relies on that to teach with the power of order, but because one can teach regardless of order, it is said "regardless of order" and so on. Although not regarding that, because there is no distraction, one can teach, therefore it is said "even if interrupted in speech." Even if those to be tamed ask with various thoughts, even if there is a cause for distraction, one is not tired, and as they wish, as they think, no matter where one starts, one can remember and be proficient in the words, terms, and various meanings to be taught as if placing them in the palm of one's hand, therefore it is the unimpeded eloquence of liberation. As it is said in the sutra, "The blessing of not forgetting," this is what is shown, remembering all the words and meanings, not losing memory is not forgetting.

Therefore, the so-called "blessing" refers to what blesses it. Because of closely accomplishing the courage of the cause of non-forgetfulness, it is called the courage of liberation, which shows that it is not an untimely blessing. The so-called "as it should be tamed" means that in whatever way sentient beings should be tamed, similarly, in the ways expressed in various named languages and metaphors, that is, with various metaphors as a method of understanding, cutting off the doubts and hesitations of sentient beings, and truly generating certainty, therefore it is called the courage of understanding. This is also what is stated in the Sutra as being skilled in extremely decisive wisdom. How to understand it? By cutting off the unfavorable aspects, being skilled in generating the extremely decisive wisdom of those to be tamed, that is, accomplishing those, therefore being able to generate it. The three common characteristics are: all that is tainted is the nature of suffering, all that is conditioned is the nature of impermanence, and all dharmas are the nature of selflessness. It is realized through constantly manifesting and practicing the knowledge of them. For those who are in accordance, showing them as they are because of following them; for those who are not in accordance, because there is no other way to show them, it is called the courage of non-pervasive affliction. The Sutra says that not abandoning the wisdom that follows everything. How to understand it? Not abandoning the wisdom that follows and enters into all dharmas in the form of the three characteristics, therefore it is completely unabandoned. The three natures are the completely imputed nature, the dependent nature, and the thoroughly established nature. The common characteristics are impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and emptiness because of following the conditioned, the tainted, and the dharma. All that is conditioned is the nature of impermanence. All that is tainted is the nature of suffering. All dharmas are the nature of emptiness and selflessness, only constantly manifesting them. The oral instruction is the transmitted teaching. That is also a kind of
