Here, only the sound of Bodhicitta arises. At that time, taking the vow to attain Buddhahood is Bodhicitta itself, and it should be understood that this is to clarify this point. Therefore, this action does not make one fond of the Lesser Vehicle. To counteract its faults, one should diligently practice to counteract entering the Lesser Vehicle. This is also as stated in the sutra: to prevent the Bodhicitta from forgetting mindfulness. To counteract laziness in the matter of benefiting sentient beings, diligent practice is easy to understand. The explanation of "in all things" is "in the five sciences." Entering is the various kinds of entering, which is determination. Obtaining it is realization, which is possessing. Therefore, this is called diligent practice to counteract not knowing the means, because it is a means of benefiting sentient beings, being proficient in those sciences, and being able to fully mature sentient beings with different dispositions. This is also as stated in the sutra: to obtain the various determinations of entering into all things. The five sciences are: grammar, logic, crafts, medicine, and internal science, which should be examined separately. The wise knower calls it science. Thus, starting from the matter of benefiting others, it is the second of the ten things. The meaning to be spoken, the Dharma doors such as the aspects of enlightenment, are the categories of Dharma that are the nature of the words of the noble "Ratnakuta Sutra" and others, and they follow the meaning. Their various distinctions are many, and there are various distinctions in those doors. How does one become virtuous through this? Because everything is included in this. Here, starting from the ultimate Bodhicitta, with the stream of uncontaminated wisdom, what distinguishes Bodhisattvas from Tathagatas, that is, possessing the nature of cause and effect, distinguishing from what state what state has not been obtained, that is, the ten bhumis are proclaimed. In all sutras, there is either the state of the result or the state of the cause, but this has both, so through this, one becomes proficient in everything.
