If the roots of virtue, such as those that have not yet arisen, are completely cultivated, then the later aspects of enlightenment will be guided to become the most excellent, thereby causing a leap from the previous ground to the later one, as it is said. Moreover, it is taught in the sutra: "For the sake of completely purifying the roots of virtue that transcend the world." Generally speaking, that which transcends the world itself is the pure root of virtue. Since those are the roots of virtue, that is, they become the cause, therefore different words are spoken separately. Having attained such a supreme state of meditation, one is able to know the secrets of all the Tathagatas, etc., or it is said to be the entry that leads Bodhisattvas to perfection. Knowing the secrets of all the Tathagatas, etc., the secret is the secret of body, speech, and mind. The word "etc." includes the wisdom that enters into the subtle from the tenth ground, the wisdom that enters into the kalpas, and whatever is extensively explained as the wisdom of entering. Therefore, since one completely knows all aspects of those in that way, it is called the entry that leads Bodhisattvas to perfection. Moreover, it is taught in the sutra: "For the sake of comprehending the realm of inconceivable wisdom." How is it? Those secrets, etc., cannot be conceived by the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and ordinary Bodhisattvas, so they are inconceivable. Since it is the object of that, it is inconceivable wisdom. That which is called "its object" refers to that itself. Comprehending that is to manifest it, therefore for that reason. The one who comprehends, the Bodhisattva who comprehends, because he knows all knowable things without obscuration, with the knowledge that has abandoned obscuration, without attachment and without obstruction, therefore it is said to be the entry that leads to the ultimate state of Buddhahood. Moreover, it is taught in the sutra: "For the sake of comprehending up to the realm of omniscient wisdom." The realm of omniscient wisdom is the Dharmadhatu, and that is also shown by the word "all knowable things" in the explanation. Apart from the Dharmadhatu, like this, there is no dharma, through that door, in order to completely know all dharmas.

O! These "entering" and so on, are to understand the expression, distinction, and characteristics of other names. If it is not so, if there is no difference in meaning, the name will not become different either. The first is because other names are mentioned, and because other things are also the substance of the cause, so implicitly, it is generally called the root entry. Placing the entity, except, this means that wherever or in other sutras, only the entity of the skandhas and so on are placed, that is what "except" means. Or, like in this tenth ground itself, among the great aspirations, the fourth aspiration is shown. Because the entity of the method of reasoning, which explains the characteristics such as branches and near branches, is placed and mentioned. Gathering is collecting, like looking at clothes, or being collected like the destruction of the world. Although it arises through the way of destruction, it does not go beyond collection. If so, then the statements between the three, why is it for that itself? Because it is said to be the cause itself, so the third cause will not go beyond that itself either. That itself, the third is also for that itself, so it is said. To this, "starting" and so on, after hearing the names of these grounds, when will I be able to obtain these? Thus, faith and desire arise. When these two motivate, they approach those virtuous friends who motivate them. The word "etc." includes serving and pursuing the doctrine, and so on. This is what is to be sought, until it is not heard. Obtaining means grasping these through the way of meaning and words after hearing them. Here, being called the first category itself is to distinguish those belonging to after starting and obtaining, so it shows that the second explanation is unreasonable. This should be understood as, because after realizing it oneself, one also benefits sentient beings in the same way, so it is for sentient beings to start and obtain. In this way, this group of ten can exist for the benefit of others. The first word has already been explained through the root of starting and obtaining. The other ten starting and obtaining, with the other ten words.
