Whatever is the cause of one is also the cause of two or three. By what authority is it said in other sutras that the Buddha-fields of those Buddhas are different, and the mandalas of their retinues are different, but are merely appearances? This is because in the completely pure Dharmadhatu, there is no self-grasping or grasping at self, no effort of self-nature, and no manifestation of conceptualization of what is grasped and what grasps. It is said that the Tathagatas, whose Dharmakaya is undifferentiated and whose nature is without elaboration, also fully enjoy themselves by the power of their past aspirations, and the mandalas of the retinues of the various Buddhas, the Bhagavat, which arise from the power of their own actions, are also seen as possessing all perfect aspects. The various arrangements of the Buddha-fields are also seen. Just as with the precious queen of a Chakravartin, such consciousnesses are merely appearances, this is the concluding statement. The former speaks of the absence of manifestation and action in the arising of wisdom and the benefit of others, but this is for the sake of fully enjoying the Dharma. There is no conceptualization of the various Buddha-retinue mandalas arising from one's own karma, therefore there is a difference. This explains the profound nature of the Dharmadhatu, the profound karma, and the profound place. Among these, the profound nature is that in order to completely abandon the ten faults of impurity, one should only observe the ten characteristics of purity. The ten faults of impurity are: the fault of variety, the fault of all afflictions, the fault of being accompanied by manifestation and action, the fault of the nature of conditioned phenomena, the fault of increase and decrease, the fault of coming and going, the fault of permanence and annihilation, the fault of complete weariness, the fault of totality, and the fault of grasping. The ten characteristics of purity are: the characteristic of being variety, the characteristic of being without all afflictions, the characteristic of being without manifestation and action, the characteristic of unconditioned phenomena, the characteristic of no increase, the characteristic of no decrease,

The characteristic of being without coming and going, the characteristic of being without permanence and cessation, the characteristic of being without complete weariness, the characteristic of not being a whole, and the characteristic of being without self-grasping, in order. Profound activity is to be understood through the door of activities such as emanation. Profound place is to be understood through the door of no coming and going, and through the mandala of the retinue of the Buddha, which is perfect in all aspects. In order to show that all aspects of the realm of phenomena are in accordance with space, space is used as an example in all places. It is said like this: "Except for the single example of space, what can be used to measure the extent of the Tathagata's discipline? All those examples that are set up are slanders against the Tathagata, because the extent of space is the same as the extent of the Tathagata's discipline." It is like what is said and so on. Having established abandonment, in terms of establishing wisdom, it is said, "The extremely condensed mirror-like wisdom," and so on. The example is to show the reason for entering into mirror-like wisdom. The Tathagata's wisdom itself is like a mirror mandala, because it is in accordance with the mirror mandala, it is the reason for the appearance of knowable images. The sense bases are the six internal ones, such as the eye. Its objects are those objects, that is, the six external objects such as form, which are the objects of the eye and so on. The sense bases and their objects, and their consciousnesses, are those that arise from what is perceived. They themselves are images, because in all places it is said that consciousness is the cause. Equality wisdom is that which takes as its object the mirror-like wisdom, with only the object of interdependent phenomena. Discriminating wisdom is that which has the characteristics of self and general as its object, and the wisdom that accomplishes actions is the same as that. The sense bases and their objects, and the appearance of all knowable images and general characteristics of the objects to be grasped, are like the Tathagata's mirror-like.
