And it has been shown that it exists even in the very first moment. The detailed explanation of the temporary determination is, as it is said: Sound is also because it is temporarily uncertain. The detailed explanation of belonging to the number of sentient beings is, as it is said: These five are not just one belonging to the number of sentient beings. The detailed explanation of being free from the edge of conditions is, as it is said: Because name and form have differences in abilities, it has already been explained before. The detailed explanation of uncertainty is, as it is said: Because the conditions are explained for the sake of the complete stage of the order of birth, and also the different limbs. The extensive explanation of the six sense bases is complete. What is the touch called "touch arising from the six sense bases"? The word "touch" can be seen in the tangible, in the meeting, and in the mental factors. It is said in the scriptures that there are six different classifications. Therefore, if the object is not distinguished, then what is the touch called "touch arising from the six sense bases" here? In order to distinguish the object, the collection of six touches, etc., is explained in detail. The Blessed One, in order to adapt to the differences of the beings to be tamed, explained the detailed classification from the perspective of the different bases of touch. From the perspective of different bases such as the eye, from the eye-contact to the mind-contact, it is like this, but it is not the nature itself. The so-called adaptation to the differences of the beings to be tamed refers to what was said at that time to adapt to the differences of the beings to be tamed, and also to adapt to the differences of the future beings to be tamed. If one were to explain without asking like this, there would be a fault, but the detailed classification was asked about. Third, touch is produced by aggregation, it is said in other sutras, what is it like? Relying on name and form, eye consciousness arises. In the sutra that says touch arises from the aggregation of the three, it also says that the aggregation of the three is to explain the cause, but it is not the nature itself. Relying on what do all mental factors arise?

Touch is shown as the door through which all phenomena arising from the mind are produced. That action is not accomplished by either direct perception or inference, therefore, as it is said in the Sutra of the Ten Questions, from the phrase "whatever it is," it is said that everything depends on the force of touch. That the mind cannot completely sever anything refers to this touch. The phrase "like its feeling, etc." means that feeling, thought, and attention, etc., how appropriate to their own nature, the mind can completely sever, but touch is not like that. How can one believe that it exists as it is? Therefore, it is said that it comes from a reliable scripture. How is it? Showing the cause of touch from the combination of the three touches due to the six sources is from a reliable scripture. Whatever is the aggregate of feeling, the aggregate of perception, and the aggregate of formations, all depend on touch, and whatever is felt is the reliable scripture that shows the result of touch. Here it is said, if the mind cannot completely sever it, how can one believe that it exists only by a reliable scripture? Therefore, it is said that there are also three kinds of reliable scriptures, showing the meaning of direct perception, the meaning of inference, and the meaning of faith. Among them, the meaning of direct perception is like this: anger makes the face unpleasant, and a violent person suffers when lying down. The meaning of inference is like this: the Brahmin boy is like this, these are the paths to an ugly face, like this, some are angry, and there is much quarreling. The meaning of faith is like this: With the three abodes, one surpasses the people of the north whose voices are unpleasant, the gods of the Thirty-Three, and the people of Jambudvipa. What are the three? Absence of self and absence of grasping, certainty of life, and certainty of superior conduct are extensively explained. Among the three kinds of reliable scriptures, the direct perception
