The reason for saying "to ripen" is that the afflictions arising from it are afflictions of the mind. Therefore, although ignorance is not the nature of affliction, it is established as affliction because it causes the mind to be afflicted. If it is in the opposite of knowledge different from that, it will not become the cause of afflictions, so it will not be established as affliction, meaning that writing letters, treatises, crafts, etc., are not the cause of afflictions when they are in the opposite of knowledge. Why? Because it does not make the mind afflicted. It will also not be established as non-affliction, because it is the same as the object of affliction, so it is established as being similar and corresponding to affliction. This means that for non-form phenomena, the combination between the natures of aggregation does not exist. For the object of entering into the object of obscuration of knowledge other than that object, that is, on the object other than the object in which affliction arises, being in the object of obscuration of knowledge, because it is not similar to affliction, it is established as not being similar and corresponding to affliction, because the objects are not mixed. Because it is the opposite of virtuous knowledge, it is established as non-virtuous, in order to generate respect for obtaining its antidote knowledge. This means that ignorance is the meaning of generating respect for obtaining antidote knowledge. Since it is the opposite of knowledge other than that, it will not be established as non-virtuous, meaning that since virtuous knowledge is the opposite of knowledge different from that, it is the meaning of being the opposite of unspecified knowledge. Because it is the opposite of the path of seeing, it is to be abandoned by the path of seeing. Because it is the opposite of the path of meditation, it is to be abandoned by the path of meditation. For example, the movement of body and speech and the two expressions are under the control of thought, meaning the movement of the body and the expression of speech. From that door, meaning the movement of body and speech.

And, from the perspective of terminology. The reason for saying "to universally combine the arising and ceasing of all minds that initiate" is that the movement of body and speech, and the basis for the arising and ceasing of virtuous and non-virtuous minds that initiate all terminology, are in order. Saying that the second ignorance also refers to the universal arising of attention means that when attention is directed towards a knowable object, if knowledge does not arise, then the lack of understanding of the contrary of that knowable object will universally arise, and this is how it is established, in order to obtain the entry of one's own subtle increase. This means that, in this way, the contrary of each knowledge is extremely misunderstood. It is also unreasonable to think that one mind exists simultaneously with infinite misunderstandings. Because in this way, when attention is directed towards a knowable object, if knowledge does not arise, then the lack of understanding of the contrary of that knowable object is manifest, but not for all knowable objects. Subtle increase refers to habitual tendencies. Saying "to obtain entry" refers to the distinction of complete transformation. Having the distinction of complete transformation, then the fruit of one's own habitual tendencies will manifestly be accomplished. It is not at all times, nor in all places, meaning that it is not at all times, nor is it established as universally arising for all knowable objects, and for this reason, it is impossible for one mind to exist simultaneously with infinite misunderstandings. Whichever affliction it exists simultaneously with, it arises together with that affliction, meaning that the lack of understanding that exists simultaneously with whichever affliction arises and ceases together with those afflictions. In this way, there is no fault, meaning that it is just as those who say that attention universally arises say, so the teacher says. Because it is established in this way, it is completely without fault. Therefore, ignorance is a different phenomenon that is contrary to knowledge, and this is established. The Extensive Explanation of the Sutra Differentiating the Beginning of Dependent Arising is completed. The author of this treatise is Guna Mati, the Mahayana practitioner Bodhi.
