It is also close to accumulating the cause of arising, and it is also especially close to accumulating the cause of the path of meditation. The path entered in order to manifest the fruit of Arhat is the antidote to the afflictions that are practiced in the form and formless realms that are to be abandoned by meditation, and it is also close to accumulating the cause of the path of seeing, and it is also especially close to accumulating the cause of the path of meditation. The difference between the path and the fruit is because of the difference in abandonment. Abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing is the fruit of entering the stream. Abandoning one part of the afflictions that are practiced in the desire realm that is to be abandoned by meditation is the fruit of once returning. Abandoning the remaining afflictions to be abandoned by meditation in the desire realm without remainder is the fruit of non-returning. Abandoning the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation that are practiced in the form and formless realms is the fruit of Arhat. In this verse, it is possible to explain all the establishments of noble individuals. The Sutra of Profoundly Expressing Dependent Arising. I wish to explain it slightly definitively. That which expresses the meaning is called a sutra. Or a sutra is that which connects the meaning, like connecting a thread, which is the meaning of dependent arising. The two terms dependent arising and dependent origination have no different meanings, so there is no difference. Therefore, only saying dependent arising is only saying dependent origination. Here, one should observe taking the word "ཕྱིར" from the heart. Otherwise, the meaning of the words will not become one. Or, the meaning of dependent arising, with what is it expressed? That which is expressed is the expression of dependent arising. That which expresses it is this sutra, which is to say dependent arising. Even so, one can also take out a word "expression" from the heart and say it as dependent arising. Therefore, the sutra is spoken, and the meaning is also the expression of dependent arising. Or, with what sutra is dependent arising expressed? That is dependent arising

I say arising, because it speaks of dependent arising. Or, whatever is spoken through the meaning of dependent arising, that is the speaking of dependent arising. If so, is it spoken from the doorway of meaning? Because it is spoken from that doorway. It is also said below that the collection of letters should also be established according to the meaning of the occasion. Or, here it is said, that is, it is established on the basis. This sutra speaks of dependent arising, so it is the speaking of dependent arising, because it speaks on the basis. The explicit statement of dependent arising is for the sake of clarifying other sutras. The so-called "slightly definite explanation" is the meaning of the so-called "one-sided definite explanation." The definite explanation of the meaning of the sutras by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is limitless, because the sutras arise from the correct causes of Dharma, meaning, definite words, and eloquence. Showing the finality is the definite explanation, because it establishes the action by explaining it. "I want to say" is a synonym for "I want to speak." Having heard from the lama and also seeing other desires, Depending on that, one should examine it slightly and thoroughly. This is said to indicate that it is an antidote to the three faults. The antidote to not believing in the three faults is that it is evident that it is heard from the lama. Thus, it is shown that this statement has a reliable proof. What is said to counteract doubt is, "Also seeing other desires." This is said to show that the meaning of this statement is extremely definite. What is said to counteract superimposition and slander is, "Depending on that, one should examine it slightly and thoroughly." "To examine" means the meaning of "to investigate." "Depending on that" means depending on the sutra of the explicit statement of dependent arising. Or it shows that it depends on the sutra heard from the lama and seeing other instructions. In this way, one does not superimpose on what does not exist, nor does one slander what exists.

Therefore, the fault of conceptualizing with inversion has been completely abandoned. Although it has been shown that the Sutra Pitaka explicitly proclaims dependent origination, why is it asked, "What is the Sutra Pitaka?" It is to exclude others that do not proclaim dependent origination. There are many scriptures in the Sutra Pitaka that explicitly proclaim dependent origination, such as, "Monks, I will explain to you dependent origination and the Dharma of dependent origination," and so on. The meaning of dependent origination is also mentioned a lot, because it explicitly proclaims the relationship between cause and effect. As it is said in the Sutra like the Monkey, noble hearers who are endowed with hearing, properly and thoroughly attend to dependent origination, and thus separately understand, that is, "This being, that arises; this arising, that is born," for example, relying on the touch that will experience happiness, the feeling of happiness will arise, and so on. Therefore, in order to specifically distinguish the beginning and the differentiation, making that very thing independent, that is, "Monks, I will show you the beginning and differentiation of dependent origination," is the Sutra Pitaka. How is it? The beginning is in Shravasti (Jetavana). There, the Blessed One said to the monks, "Monks, I will show you the beginning and differentiation of dependent origination, listen well and keep it well in mind," he said. What is the beginning of dependent origination? That is, "This being, that arises; this arising, that is born," for example, because of ignorance there is action, because of action there is consciousness, because of consciousness there is name and form, because of name and form there are six sense sources, because of six sense sources there is contact, because of contact there is feeling, because of feeling there is craving, because of craving there is grasping, because of grasping there is existence, because of existence there is birth, because of birth there is old age and death, as well as sorrow, lamentation, suffering, distress, and disturbance will arise, like that.
