The word "earth" refers to those parts of the body. The phrase "because it is born" means, if asked, "For what is it born?" The answer is that it completely determines, "My brain feels, half of my brain feels." Here, the detailed explanation of "this is just so" refers to the fact that in the diseased part of the body, without touching it with a fingertip or anything else, the nature of feeling is not completely determined. Therefore, through those means, it can be established that "because in those parts of the body, it arises from the place where it exists, the place of feeling is completely determined with pride." This proves that in the diseased part of the body, the place where it exists is the place of the hand, etc. The phrase "also exists in the cause" means that the meaning of place itself is the meaning of the place of birth, and here the meaning of place also refers to the meaning of cause, which will be explained. The meaning of place is not like the abode of the gods. If asked, "How and where is the meaning of place seen as the meaning of cause?" As it is said in the verse: "Speaking truthfully and not being angry, giving even when begging for little, these three forms, by place, will be born among the gods." This indicates "by these three causes." The phrase "the place of birth that causes the six consciousnesses to grow" refers to the meaning of vastness. Therefore, it is said, "Because it is the cause of the continuity of its arising," meaning that it is the cause of the continuity of the arising of the six consciousnesses. The continuity of its arising is growth, arrival, and birth. The arising of the six consciousnesses is the growth of its continuity. Therefore, "because it is the cause of continuity, the place of birth that causes the aggregates of consciousness to grow" is a definitive word. Among them, form, sound, smell, taste, and touch are objects; the difference between form, etc., and combination are the five, eye, etc., in order. Here, the phrase "form, etc., are objects" excludes the possibility of including combination in the place of birth of form through the word "object," because these are form

It should be determined that forms, etc., are not objects. What is meant by "proceeding in order"? It is possible to proceed in order with the five forms, etc., and the five eyes, etc. The special mention is to eliminate confusion with objects. The difference between form and 'wa' also exists in them, some 'wa' differences, their object is form, some their object is sound. Similarly, smell, taste, and touch are objects. It is possible for them to focus on their respective objects, which can be determined by reliable scriptures and reasoning. As it is said in the sutra, "What is the eye faculty? The support of eye consciousness is form and 'wa'," and everything said from "eye consciousness arises dependent on name and form" to "body consciousness arises dependent on body and touch." Because the blind, etc., cannot see forms, etc., it can be established that there is a difference between form and 'wa', i.e., eyes, etc., in the objects of forms, etc. Why is it explained in detail here that touch is an object? Why does this sutra of dependent origination say that touch is the difference between object and 'wa', i.e., body? Just as the body is called body, the difference between form, etc., object and 'wa', is not called eyes, etc., body. So, why does it say here that the object is touch, and the difference of 'wa' is body? Because it is said "the birthplace of the body." Therefore, it is said, "Because it pervades the body." Like this, this body pervades the nature of the body, but the eyes, etc., do not. Therefore, the establishment is the place of establishment, or like the body is the place, so it is called the birthplace of the body. What is meant by "because it is a difference of accumulated dust particles"? It means to say, it is the body. The support of the eyes, etc., is also an accumulation of dust particles, but this is a difference of accumulated dust particles. The difference itself is because of the majority. Because of this particularity, it shows that this sutra says that whatever is accumulated is the body.
