That is how it is said. If it is said that consciousness is also the cause of consciousness, then what should be said? Then it must be stated. If it is considered here that the cause of the limbs of other moments is of its own kind, then the other causes such as the second moment are consciousness itself. Therefore, the first moment required for fabrication must be said to be the cause of the next moment. Or, if it is not so, then it means that if it is considered to be the cause of continuous generation. The so-called "transformation is called name" is the synonym of "complete transformation." Therefore, due to the difference of object, form and various differences, the continuity is uninterrupted, so it is said that its continuity is completely transformed. Among them, the difference of the object, it should be known that form, sound, smell, taste, touch and dharma are the differences of the object. The difference of the form is the difference of the form such as blue, yellow, etc. of the form itself. The difference of various differences is the difference of the nature of small, medium, and large. Or, it should be known that it is the difference between good, non-good, and unrecordable. "After death, abandoning the body of form," in detail, it means that after death, abandoning this body of form, it is completely transformed into the things of other births. For the continuity of name, due to the complete impregnation of faith, discipline, hearing, giving, and wisdom, it will be completely transformed into the things of other births. Because for it, the cause of existence, karma and afflictions will be completely impregnated. Complete transformation, it should be known that it is rebirth to other places. It is not like what the Samkhya school says, the other dharma of the abiding real dharma changes, and the other dharma arises is complete transformation. So, what is "actions that are not associated with the mind, nominal name"? In detail, what is specially designated by language is a nominal name, just as it is said: "Speech depends on name." Or, superfluous language is a nominal name, because speech is different from the expression of mind. Just like what

Now, the extensively propagated "teachings" explain how these four aggregates are elucidated. The past and future objects, as well as other kalpas (aeons), are subdued by "name," hence it is called "name." The act of "name" subduing is synonymous with causing rebirth elsewhere. Alternatively, it subdues in the manner of being subdued, because it designates the past and future, etc., which means to go forth. The term "kalpas, etc." also serves to ascertain the immediate objects that occur in the present, meaning that wherever one merely hears the "name," even if it is not directly present, consciousness arises. The object of the eye, known in the world as "form," refers to blue, etc. Why are all "originated" and "originated from" referred to as "form" here? It means that in this scripture, or in the Sutra of Dependent Origination, whatever form may be, all of it is caused by the four great elements and the four great elements themselves. Therefore, the sutra states, "Because of being harmed, it is form," referring to the monks being harmed, hence form is called the "aggregate of grasping." Why is it harmed? It is extensively explained as being due to the contact of the hand and the contact of the stick, etc. The term "form" means "harmed," which means "changed," not harmed by generating painful feelings. Where does a sick person find sleep? Harmed as if pricked by a thorn. This indicates that it is harmed just as being pierced by a thorn. Why are "originated" and "originated from" harmed? This is the thought that because there is no mind, there is no feeling of suffering. Therefore, it is said that it is made to deteriorate by the contact of the hand, etc. How does it cause harm to the objects of conduct in form? Because these are excluded, they are harmed by the contact of the hand, stick, and clod.
