It is established in the state of universal arising. Similar categories are merely established on similar minds. Different other things are not similar, such as trees being similar to fruits, etc. Therefore, obtaining other states of arising aggregates such as such form, one obtains what is called a similar category, because it is the cause of specifically establishing beings such as humans. Similarly, the two mindless absorptions are established on the state of the body arising that is incompatible with the arising of mind and mental factors. The non-percipient should also be understood in the same way. The life faculty is thrown by the karma of previous lives, and is merely established on the object of the cause of existence that exists in the same category. Arising from what has not arisen is established as birth. It exists in the continuity of cause and effect. The difference between the previous and subsequent continuity is aging. Merely arising and then ceasing is established as impermanence, and so on. How these are not substantially existent should be understood from the Abhidharma-kosa. So, how is this? Attainment and so on are not substantially existent. Why? Because their own nature is not manifest to those bound by desire and hatred, etc., like form and sound, etc., and they also do not have functions like eyes and ears, etc. Therefore, because there is no substantially existent dharma, it is an imputed existence. Or, how are attainment and so on imputed and not substantially existent? How is it? Because there is no valid cognition. There is not even a little bit of direct perception, inference, or trustworthy testimony that makes them substantially existent, just like form and so on. So, how should one understand the extensive explanation of these ten dharmas, etc., in the Sutra Pitaka, by determining it rationally from the Sutra Pitaka itself? Non-destruction and accumulation also do not exist at all, nor is it established on those other states. Even if it is connected with the habitual tendencies and retinue of meritorious actions, etc., it is beneficial. Whatever arises at the end of mindless absorption and non-perception,
