Well, it is considering the nature of the occasion. "There is no ground mind of it in cessation" means that the cessation of entering into cessation samadhi, there is no ground mind of it that exists in that neither perception nor non-perception. How does it cease? Because both thought and feeling cease. "There is no mind of the peak of existence" is a synonym for this sentence. In order to express the meaning, these are examined, that is, with conceptualization and with analysis, like meditative concentration. Therefore, even if one has entered into cessation, is there a mind consciousness of the ground of the peak of existence? If so, then it would contradict the sutra that says, "Completely transcended the birth place of neither perception nor non-perception." This is not completely transcending everything, therefore that is something else, with the reason that the mind of the peak of existence does not exist, and that entering into cessation samadhi is with mind, therefore, that is something else, that mind is the Alaya consciousness. How is it that the habit of mind is also sometimes called mind? This is saying that when arising from a state of no mind, there is a result that is called by the cause. Therefore, just as the habit of karma is also called karma, when is it said that the ripening of karma? Ripening is not directly produced by karma, so what is it? It is produced by habit. Therefore, for this distinction, the seed of mind consciousness exists in two continuums, just like two mind consciousnesses of different continuums. It is spoken of in terms of the state of having mind, saying that, when arising from a state of no mind, if the continuum of mind itself does not exist, then where does it exist? How could the seed of mind consciousness exist? The difference of the continuum of the seed of mind consciousness should not be examined. Why is it that when it arises from one, it does not arise from the other? This is saying that if there are dominant conditions, object conditions, and causal conditions, etc. If it is said that because it is an immediately preceding condition, then to this

It should be said that if this is the case, then rising from a state of mindlessness will not succeed, because there is no immediately preceding cause. A long interruption cannot become an immediately preceding cause. If, like with consciousness, the faculties of the body are also extensively explained, then the phrase "also pervaded by meritorious and other actions" means that the faculties of the body are also completely pervaded by meritorious and other actions, which means that they are completely pervaded by meritorious, non-meritorious, and unwavering actions. For temporary consciousness, it should not be said that it is caused by action. If not, what should be said? It should be said that the faculties of the body are also caused by action. If asked what name and form are the cause of temporary consciousness, it should not be said. If not, what should be said? The faculties of the body should also be mentioned. Why is it also necessary to explain that temporary mind also needs meritorious and non-meritorious actions? Because the faculties of the body also have power over that name and form. Starting from "Whatever is said like this," extensively explaining until "faith, discipline, learning, generosity, and wisdom are all completely pervaded," extensively explaining, and some say cultivating the body and not cultivating the body, this is in terms of cultivation, and the body's hair and so on are also extensively explained. Thus, temporarily, for the continuity of the six consciousnesses, it has been argued that it is impossible to be pervaded by meritorious and other actions, and to be consciousness caused by action. Others say that the action of

If someone asks, is it established that consciousness connects in the womb because of the present causes? It is not permissible to use "consciousness connecting in the womb is due to the cause of actions" as a reason. If it is only this, if consciousness is not due to the cause of actions, then it will not enter the mother's womb. Some say that this contradicts the Sutra Pitaka, to which the answer is that some say there is no contradiction and elaborate on it. How should one understand that connection is due to the cause of actions? It should be understood as connection. If there is as much as there is, then the mind's consciousness is there. When name and form are established due to the cause of consciousness, how much of what exists is established? It should be established only on the form that exists in the womb. Not the eye, etc. It is described in detail that all the forms that exist at that stage, that is, at the stage where name and form exist, all forms are the four great elements and what is produced by them. If one asks what is form, then how can one explain all of these in detail? This is reasonable, because at the time of connection, consciousness is not the six aggregates of consciousness, so what similarities are there here? Others also answer the question of contradiction with the Sutra Pitaka. From then on, it is also explained in detail up to the six sense bases, that is, only the connecting consciousness is caused by actions. Saying the six aggregates of consciousness is to show that between the six sense bases, one follows karma. The characteristics of the six aggregates of consciousness show that the six sense bases are not separated from the fruits of the six sense bases. And not being separated from what is created by karma, it is shown that between the six sense bases, one follows karma. It is described in detail that saying these is meaningless, because in order to show that between the six sense bases, one follows karma, saying the six aggregates of consciousness is meaningless. Even without saying the six aggregates of consciousness,
