In order to generate power, in order to be able to arise, it is said that consciousness arises from the condition of formation. The view of the Sutra school is that it is explained in detail that the conditions are the faculties, objects, and attention. The so-called "power by its strength" means the power of the force of formation. How to understand the samadhi without mind? As for being without mind, there are two kinds of samadhi without mind: the cessation attainment and the non-perception attainment. Non-perception refers to the fruition that is born in the realm of the gods of non-perception beings. The Sarvastivadins think that at those times, the continuum of consciousness is completely cut off from all. Venerable Vasumitra said: In the Sutra school, it is said that the cessation attainment is with mind. How to understand it? Venerable, what is the difference between a person with desire who dies and passes away, and one who enters the cessation attainment? What is the different idea? There are great differences and different ideas between a householder who dies and passes away, and one who enters the cessation attainment. One who dies and passes away, the bodily formation ceases, the verbal and mental formations cease, the warmth dissipates, and the faculties are destroyed. A householder who enters the cessation attainment, the bodily formation has not ceased, the verbal formation has not ceased, the mental formation has not ceased, has not left life, has not left warmth, the faculties have not been destroyed, and consciousness has not left the body. The difference between a householder who dies and passes away and one who enters the cessation attainment is like this. The different ideas of these two are also like this. Then, the detailed explanation of the Blessed One that "consciousness arises from the condition of mind and dharma" is the view of Venerable Svara. For the time being, the Blessed One said, "Craving arises from the condition of feeling."

It is said that this is the view of the monk Vasumitra. In other Sutra Pitakas, it is explained in detail that craving arises based on the feeling that arises from contact due to the accumulation of ignorance. But regarding contact, it is not explained in detail anywhere. In other Sutra Pitakas, it is not explained in detail that contact is the cause of feeling, perception, and mind. The existence of an Arhat is fundamentally cut off, because their habitual tendencies are destroyed and they have abandoned the view of the perishable aggregate. What are the perception and feeling in cessation samadhi, etc.? They are not fundamentally cut off, because they will manifest again. Others say that if the ability is an accumulation, then the Sangha of the Joyful Sect gathers in order to be able to do it. At that time, it is merely an assembly, not an accumulation, because there is no power to generate perception and feeling. How is there no power? Therefore, refuting it is said in order to eliminate it. Refuting it is refuting perception and feeling. In order to eliminate it is in order to eliminate cessation samadhi. If good is good, then how can it be good without a root of good? Good can be divided into three types: good by nature, such as roots of good, shame, and embarrassment; associated good, such as other dharmas arising from the mind; and initiating good, such as actions of body and speech, etc. Therefore, if there is no root of good and nothing associated with it, then how can its mental aspect be good? How can those exist without contact? That is to say, those roots of good without contact cannot be roots of good, because it is said in the Sutra Pitaka that all aggregates of feeling, aggregates of perception, and aggregates of formations are caused by contact. Because it is abandoned by the immediate cause of good, if it is said to be good, then

If you think in your mind that it will turn into non-virtue, that is not right. Because after virtuous and other minds, three kinds of minds will arise. To say that this is because the immediate condition of virtue makes it virtuous is not correct, because after various minds of virtue, non-virtue, and neutral, minds of virtue, non-virtue, and neutral will arise. Driven by the power of the root of virtue, even if the mind is of the nature of virtue, there is no cause that can prevent it. To say that this is driven by the immediate condition of the root of virtue, if it is the nature of virtue, then what cause is there that can prevent the roots of virtue there? Even if there is a cause that prevents it, those virtues that it has done will not exist, because it has harmed its power. Therefore, there must undoubtedly be the root of virtue there. For non-virtue, those will also become faults, saying that this is driven by the immediate condition of non-virtue, therefore it will become non-virtue, this is only because it is associated with the root of non-virtue, not because of that. That is also not what is desired. Therefore, that should not be virtue either. Here, how can the temporary cessation of meditative absorption be associated with the root of virtue? It is not. Just like the paths with and without outflows, it is associated with the root of virtue, because it itself has no mind. Because it itself is a satisfactory result, it is also not virtue, because those who abide in the state of fruition are not virtuous with outflows, not possessing fruition, because that is because the Yogacara school turns its back on the Sarvastivada school. However, because it is driven by the immediate condition of virtue, it is virtue, therefore, this is also virtue. Therefore, cessation meditative absorption is virtue just like cessation, it is said. Just as cessation is virtue because the cause of suffering is completely ceased, cessation meditative absorption is also virtue because abiding in suffering is completely ceased. Underground.
