If done in this way, it is shown that liberation from samsara, relying on what support, with what object, and with what attention, is liberation. The explanation of what is extensively stated as "Where does a monk enter?" is what will be done immediately afterward. Having said this, the explanation for this is as follows. To this, the expounders say that it is like appearing from the ground of a yogi, it is not knowing the time. How does it appear from the ground of a yogi? What is not knowing the former limit? It is improperly conceiving past actions, and not knowing whether I appeared in the past, etc. What is not knowing the latter limit? It is improperly conceiving future actions, and not knowing whether I will appear in the future, etc. What is not knowing the former and latter limits? It is improperly conceiving internally, in what state do I exist? What will appear later? From where did this sentient being come? Where will I go after dying from here? etc., is ignorance. The explanation of "Where does a monk enter?" is what will be done immediately afterward. Among them, what is extensively stated regarding the internal, etc., is the expounder. By the distinction of internal and external sources, not knowing the internal, such as the eye, is not knowing the internal. Not knowing the external sources, such as form, is not knowing the external. By the distinction of the place of the internal source, it is not knowing the internal and external, and its place is also the support of the eye, etc. It is external because it is not included by the internal source, and it is called internal because it is inseparable from it and has been grasped. The attention of liberation is what will be expounded immediately afterward, and what is said is that the attention of liberation is on the causes and the dharmas arising from the causes. Regarding the dharmas arising from the causes, virtue is the meaning of the antidote to ignorance. Temporary and permanent are with outflows and without outflows.

Therefore, by its distinction, it belongs to the category of non-harming and tranquility, and has the meaning of dispelling harm. Non-virtue, on the other hand, is by way of its opposite. What is the meaning of "non-virtue is by way of the opposite of virtue"? Those virtues, compared to the virtues of outsiders, are arrogant, because they are with outflows. Different from that, it is a guide, so-called "with distinctions." Among them, "black relative to white" is a metaphor. Non-virtues, etc., are black, and the outflowless is white. Different from that, those virtues with outflows, merely by the virtues with outflows, because they are not guides, are with distinctions. Everything is interdependent arising, therefore it is called interdependent arising. The so-called "interdependent arising" refers to the virtues and non-virtues, etc., as mentioned before. The so-called "also from that itself" refers to the initial distinction, that is, from the characteristics of the Dharma that distinguishes phenomena. Monks, the so-called five faculties are the faculties of faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom. Among the faculties of faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom, the so-called "this is to be taken" means to be declared, because it can subdue its opposite. The so-called "this is to be relied upon" means to exist, such as the faculty of wisdom. The so-called "its opposite is ignorance" means that ignorance is the nature of the opposite, thus showing the fundamental ignorance itself. Venerable, what is the opposite of the vast Dharma, ignorance? To explain this in detail, the opposite of the wisdom arising from hearing, ignorance, is expressed by the word "not knowing." The opposite of the wisdom arising from thinking is expressed by the word "not seeing." The opposite of the wisdom arising from meditation is expressed by the word "not realizing." Venerable, what is the difference between ignorance and what accords with it? To explain this in detail, ignorance and what accords with it.

It only shows the difference related to the ground. That which is called "not fragmented, not separated, and connected with latent tendencies" refers to not knowing, because not fragmented is because it is not destroyed by the path of seeing. Not separated is because it is not eliminated by the path of meditation. Connected with latent tendencies is synonymous with being connected with seeds. Whatever extensively speaks of happy and unhappy destinies refers to not understanding the difference between the causes and effects of happy destinies, and not understanding the difference between the causes and effects of unhappy destinies. Among these, the very small refers to sentient beings who act in the formless realm, indicated by the sound of ignorance. The intermediate refers to those who act in the form realm, indicated by the sound of pervasive ignorance. The large refers to sentient beings who act in the desire realm, indicated by the sound of ignorance and the aspect of darkness. These are also six categories distinguished by the division of opposing factors and the division of realms. The meaning of ignorance, in summary, is shown here to be established in ten aspects. Establishing one's own kind as a condition, as it is said, ignorance arises from the condition of one's own kind. Establishing another kind as a condition, as it is said, from one's own kind, one arises from another, and thus, through improper attention and so on, it causes it to grow even more. Establishing action as a condition, as it is said, with ignorance as a condition, actions arise. Establishing the characteristic of opposing factors, as it is said, another dharma that is an opposing factor to wisdom is ignorance. Establishing distinctions, as it is said, from not knowing the beginning of the past up to fully understanding the six sense bases of contact as they are. Establishing categories, as it is said, it is shown as not understanding and not seeing, as well as not realizing and ignorance, as well as pervasive ignorance, as well as ignorance and the aspect of darkness. Establishing aspects, there are also two aspects,
