The karma, where it is, as spoken by Shariputra, "thoroughly knowing, thoroughly knowing," is extensively described. That is the meaning of knowing, hence it is called the realm of knowing, which is knowing and knowledge. This is knowing, therefore it is called knowing, thus showing various names. Why? Because it is said to be thoroughly knowing, which is very famous. How can one show the doer without any other action? As it is extensively described, it means that apart from wisdom, how can one thoroughly know without any other action, thus showing the doer? In this moment, there is no other doer who thoroughly knows. How is it unreasonable? Therefore, seeing the remaining combination as non-existent, it is said. In the world, apart from the completed action, there is no combination of the doer of the completed action. As it is said, this should be established according to the Sutra Pitaka, following the two aspects of sound. Is it not visible that this is a very good combination? Why is it said that seeing the remaining combination is non-existent? However, if the Sutra Pitaka is self-made and not a valid means of cognition, then in the treatises of sound, what is shown as remaining, why is that a valid means of cognition? However, if it is said that this is not the Sutra Pitaka, then there are many words about this, so it is very verbose, it should be stopped. It is said that from the seed sprouts emerge, although there is no other doer, there is also the saying of showing the doer. The opponent is also just a thing, but if it is allowed to show the doer without any other action, then why is it that what is shown by karma, without any other action, the one who truly knows the form, for that one without any other action, is there no connection with karma? Like your own mind, saying that sprouts emerge from seeds, like that which has no connection with karma. As it is said, therefore what is shown by karma is to show the realm of wisdom, as it is said. How is it? It is extensively described as, "In what realm does wisdom arise?" If it is not like that, then know.

If the realm of wisdom is not shown, then when it appears, it will only appear as if doing something there. Therefore, to understand as it appears, hence it is called wisdom, that is the definition of this word. Or, wherever the inconsistencies are described in detail, such as in the objects of form, etc., wherever one does not understand the inconsistencies of wisdom, that is, destroying, completely destroying that realm, is to completely understand. Therefore, even in the case of doing something, there is showing of action, that is what is to be shown. For example, a lamp illuminates the realm that destroys darkness. The "whatever that" mentioned earlier has already been shown. The so-called "said in such and such sutra," for example, in the Mahagarbha Sutra, the five aggregates are described in detail, saying that one does not understand, does not see, and does not comprehend the true nature of those five aggregates of grasping, and so on. Similarly, the six sense bases are described in detail, saying that one does not understand, does not see, and does not comprehend the true nature of those six sense bases, and so on. Describing in detail is to show all the sutra fragments from the beginning of the past extreme to the state of darkness. "Past extreme," etc., refers to the object of focus, that is, past extreme, future extreme, both, inner, outer, both, action and result, both, Buddha and Dharma, Sangha, suffering, origin, cessation, path, cause, correct occurrence, good, non-good, with fault and without fault, to be relied upon and not to be relied upon, bad, rich, black, white, dependent arising with distinction, and the six sense bases of contact, these are the objects of focus of ignorance. The so-called "not understanding," etc., are synonyms, that is, not understanding, not seeing, not comprehending, ignorance, and so on.

These are called complete bewilderment, ignorance, and various forms of darkness. Among these, what is said to be the ignorance similar to doubting both the prior and posterior limits? Is it that I existed in the past? Or did I not exist? How did I come to be? How was I born? And, will I exist in the future? Or will I not exist? Because of doubting these, it is said so. The so-called entering into ignorance without distinction refers to merely wandering in the realm where there is no prior or posterior limit, and the ignorance of bewilderment, which is considered unmixed ignorance. Thinking that the prior limit does not exist, and the posterior limit does not exist, but only these beings within the scope of the senses exist, such clinging ignorance is considered ignorance similar to wrong views. Not understanding the inner refers to the ignorance of considering one's own continuum as sentient beings, which is considered ignorance similar to the view of the aggregates of destruction. Not understanding the outer refers to this ignorance that is explained in detail, which is merely ignorance similar to the view of the aggregates of destruction in the manner of Yogic practice. The Kashmir Vaibhashikas say: This is not a view, then what is it? It is wrong knowledge. Merely clinging to one's own continuum and considering it as sentient beings, that is the view of the aggregates of destruction. Not understanding both refers to being ignorant of both one's own and others' continua without distinction. This is not considering one's own or others' continua as "self," then what is it? Not understanding that both one's own and others' continua are non-self without distinction, this ignorance is considered unmixed ignorance. Not understanding karma refers to doubting and slandering the very existence of merit and non-merit. Among these, the ignorance of doubting the very existence of merit and non-merit is considered ignorance similar to doubt.
