That is the reason. Regarding the negation of existence, it is like saying "non-apprehension" and "non-entity," which is to ascertain the negation of the existence of apprehension and entity, that is, saying "non-apprehension exists, non-entity exists." If it is said, "Another kind is not an animal," then this does not necessarily determine the negation of the existence of the animal's kind, but rather it definitely apprehends what is other than the animal. There is a similarity in this as well, but this is not a close one. Another similarity is when it is said, "Not a Brahmin, not a youth," this is because the similarity is to be made close. For the meaning of disparagement, it is like saying "not a wife" and "not a son," which does not necessarily determine that it is another similar to a wife or another similar to a son, but the disparaged wife herself is called "not a wife," and the disparaged son himself is called "not a son." For the meaning of scarcity, like saying "vegetables without salt" and "a young woman without a belly," sometimes saying "vegetables without salt," this can also be the negation of existence, but it is also seen in the meaning of scarcity. For the meaning of separation, like saying "a place without monks" and "a monastery without water," few monks are also said to be without monks. Little water is also said to be without water, so this is also seen in the meaning of scarcity, although the meaning of separation is intended, the meaning of scarcity is also seen. For the meaning of opposition, like saying "without merit" and "without fame," this refers to the meaning of the opposite side of merit and fame, and what is contrary to one side is called the opposite side. Thus, the non-existence of things is because it is unreasonable to be the very cause of the arising of actions. For what meaning is it said that actions are caused by ignorance? If it is said that actions cease because ignorance ceases, then the cessation that is spoken of is also ignorance, and there is nothing that is an entity, it is not knowledge. From the point of view of the opposite side, the mere absence of knowledge is not necessarily the non-existence of an entity. In other sutras, pervasive application and bondage, etc.

If it is said that this is correct, then what is it? If it is merely the absence of a knowing entity, then it is unreasonable. The word "etc." includes subtle increase and complete entanglement, etc. Through the meaning of being combined with various sufferings, it is completely combined. Through the meaning of transcending the three realms, it is bondage. It subtly follows, and through the meaning of subtle increase, it is subtle increase. Those are merely the absence of a knowing entity, so it is unreasonable. If it is merely the absence of a knowing entity, then what is it? It is also unreasonable to have non-virtuous thoughts as the cause. Why is that? Because there is no cause for the absence of entity, and all conditioned phenomena are momentary, and the absence of entity is also selfless. Those also prevent what was not previously there. Like this, the absence of entity is not reasonable as the cause of the lord of the arising of conditioned phenomena, as it is said, temporarily not being attached, then how can worldly phenomena become the cause of universal afflictions? Thus, it is extensively said. That is the conceptual thought of, named non-attachment conceptual thought. Merely mentioning the object is to prevent the entity through the cause of arising. If this is conceptual thought and the cause of arising, then through the path of transmission, it will also become the cause of afflictions, for example, unconditioned phenomena are merely the object of the consciousness of the mind, but not the cause of arising. From that conceptual thought, those who desire to obtain will universally become afflicted, named conceptual thought from not obtaining. Those named desiring to obtain are those who have attachment to obtaining. Those have made a distinction of conceptual thought on obtaining. Ignorance is also delusion, which is also shown in other sutras, and this is another fault. If delusion is merely the absence of a knowing entity, then what is the nature of the knowing of non-delusion? Is it merely the absence of a deluded entity? Merely the absence of delusion is not, so it is not considered in this way, because the absence of delusion is the nature of wisdom, so it is knowing. Or the nature of the knowing of non-delusion is delu
