Similarly, one must grasp all dependent origination from the first to the last. Others say that this is the establishment of three categories, which is the view of the Kashmirian teachers. Why? In order to dispel ignorance about the past, future, and middle. 'This existing, that arises' means that if there is a past extreme, there is a middle extreme. 'This being born, that is born' means that when the middle extreme is born, the future extreme is born. Among these, the two limbs of ignorance and action are included in the past extreme. The eight limbs of consciousness, name and form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, craving, grasping, and existence are included in the middle extreme. The two limbs of birth and old age and death are included in the future extreme. Among these, in the past life, the states of afflictions such as desire, hatred, and ignorance are indicated by the term ignorance, because past times have all become states of darkness. Similarly, the states of virtuous, non-virtuous, and unwavering actions are indicated by the term action, in the sense that they manifestly perform the present life. At the time of the present birth, the aggregates that connect themselves in the mother's womb are consciousness, because from the point of view of definitive meaning, they are consciousness in the sense of birth. After that, until the six sense bases have not appeared, it is name and form, because it is only that much that is clearly shown to be born. After that, until the aggregation of the three has not arisen, the manifest establishment of the sense faculties such as the eyes is the six sense bases, because the basis and the support are completely perfected. The two sense bases of body and mind do not exist in the state of name and form itself. After that, contact is established, which is able to completely cut off all causes such as pleasure and pain, because the place is completely perfected, but contact is not in the two states of consciousness and name and form. Based on that, feeling is established, and pervasive attachment arises from all pervasive desire.

It is to reduce, and also to perfect the cause, but it was not without feeling before. Then, when desire arises universally during the act of sexual intercourse, craving is established, because it arises at the time of enjoying the pleasure of sexual intercourse. At that time, when the seeking of obtaining enjoyment arises, grasping is established, because at that time afflictions such as desire, hatred, and ignorance are fully matured. Then, existence is established, thus, due to the cause of grasping, the karma of existence is also created. Then, for the sake of being born again in the next life, birth is established. Then, old age and death should be known, because only those have accomplished the meaning. Those ignorance and so on Just by the statement of being a cause, both are established, named as such, which shows that the establishment of the three sections of the limbs is also. How are the limbs established with each other? Thus, due to the cause of ignorance, there is action, due to the cause of action, there is consciousness, and so on, until it is said that due to the cause of birth, there is old age and death. The establishment of the three sections is also established, thus, ignorance and action are the section of the former extreme. Consciousness to existence is the section of the middle extreme. Birth and old age and death are the section of the latter extreme, because of this and so on, there is no establishment of the three sections of the limbs with each other, therefore the two cannot be said, named as the Sutra like a monkey. How are the limbs without each other? Because they do not want to say the twelve limbs. Precisely because of this, the establishment of the three sections is also established as non-existent. It is said to show the object of manifest and hidden dependent origination, named as this exists, this arises, which shows the object of manifest dependent origination, how due to the cause of ignorance, there is action, that is, those arise immediately after ignorance. This arises, this arises, which shows the object of hidden dependent origination, thus, due to the cause of action

It is called consciousness. For consciousness and so on, through the medium of ignorance, it transforms into the object of condition, like a seed for a fruit. Thus, if that is not born, then the action caused by that condition will not arise, and by the condition of action, consciousness will not transform, and even old age and death should be explained extensively. If it is said that the refutation of these is also the same, then this is to say that because only the words of ignorance and so on being the cause, both are established. How is it established? By the condition of ignorance, there is action, which shows the manifest object. By the condition of action with that condition, there is consciousness, which determines the mediated object of condition. As it is also said in the Sutra of the Monkey, in existence, the manifest object of condition is that relying on the touch that experiences happiness, happiness arises, etc., because there is no mediated object of condition, so the two will not be said. Others say that the first sentence is saying that with the continuous cause existing as a prerequisite, the result exists, because it says "continuous." How is it? As long as the continuous cause exists, the result exists only continuously. Saying "continuous" is because the moment cannot exist elsewhere. Here, the causal relationship is indicated by the word "continuous." Because it is not known by which cause the existence of the result is caused, the second sentence is saying "this arises, therefore that arises," that is, saying that the cause arises, therefore the result arises. If it is said that when starting to explain dependent origination there, what is the relationship of explaining existence? Because the characteristics of conditioned phenomena are three, namely arising, ceasing, and changing from dwelling. Therefore, in the case of explaining the existence of dependent origination, there is no relationship, because it is inappropriate. However, if that is only arising, then that word is related to existence, because the moment does not exist elsewhere.
