Then, in what way does the cause of clinging lead to existence (saṃsāra)? That is to say, at that time, the mind and mental factors of that being are not in accordance with the arising of all virtuous dharmas, therefore, the objects of desire and attachment that manifest are non-existent. If at that time, "for consciousness" etc. are extensively explained, that is, at the time of death, if the consciousness of the virtuous mind and the ālaya-vijñāna do not have clinging, then, its karma will not lead to existence (saṃsāra), just like an arhat. That is to say, because the ālaya-vijñāna does not have clinging. If consciousness does not have clinging, but the state of habit still leads to existence (saṃsāra), then that which leads to existence (saṃsāra) also belongs to the habits of karma, and also becomes the seed of existence. If this is the case, then the sutra stating "Monks, the five kinds of seeds are nominal terms associated with clinging" etc. will be contradicted. Then, how is virtuous consciousness associated with clinging? That is to say, virtue is not desire and attachment and complete combination, therefore the question is asked. Because clinging acts as a friend and gives fruit, that is to say, it is production, the entering virtuous consciousness is supported by clinging, and then gives fruit, not just relying on itself. Therefore it is said that it is associated with clinging, relying on clinging, it manifests the fruit, because the ālaya-vijñāna has the cause of the fruit, that is, the cause of habit, so it gives the fruit. Thinking that it is a seed is not the meaning, it refers to the entering consciousness of virtue. The ālaya-vijñāna is the seed, in this regard, the Bhagavan said "Monks, seed" is a nominal term for consciousness associated with clinging. Among them, what is the habit of clinging etc. are extensively explained, among them, it refers to the ālaya-vijñāna. What is clinging, that is to say, the habit from kāma-upādāna (desire clinging) to ātma-vāda-upādāna (self-assertion clinging) completely and extremely increases, that is to say, it enters when it arises universally.

is obtained. That is, it is connected with taking, called: If taking does not make the habit completely mature, then the Alaya consciousness is not connected with taking. If the taking of any place becomes completely very mature, it is extensively said to be acting in the desire realm, and from the first dhyana ground to the peak of existence. Accumulating karma habits through that ground itself is called: accumulating through taking, which is a synonym. Because it is to immediately realize the next life that entering is obtained, it is said that the karma of obtaining the state of complete transformation is existence. In this way, even the death of a virtuous mind is existence due to the condition of taking. What is the entry that was spoken of in order to immediately realize birth? Therefore, It is extensively said that there is a distinction of complete transformation of karma habits, and the momentary aggregates are each moment having a distinction of complete transformation. Therefore, in order to show some distinction of complete transformation, that is, having the distinction of the state of karma habits being completely transformed, realizing its own fruit, that is called the entry of this, showing that the distinction of complete transformation is the entry of this habit. For example, if the Madhulunga flower is soaked in safflower juice, what will happen? Just as the distinction of complete transformation causes the stamens to appear red, that is the entry. Why is taking considered to be a condition of existence? Therefore, craving for feeling is inevitable, extensively saying that it is for being in accordance with it and separating from it, that is, for being in accordance with feeling and separating from it. Therefore, in order to be in accordance with pleasant feeling, and in order to be separated from painful feeling, taking desire and so on, called: synonyms for desire, view, moral discipline and vows, and self-assertion.

Showing that if it does not exist, it will not happen, which means that attachment and non-attachment to the two feelings of happiness and suffering are undoubtedly the desire and craving for desires, etc. This is the meaning of the summary. Therefore, without taking, karma will not exist. Therefore, it should not be thought that only the cause of existence is existence. Even without desire and other forms of taking, there are, referring to desire, views, discipline and asceticism, and the taking of self-speech. Why? Merely clinging to feelings does not cause various actions, meaning that for feelings of happiness, suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering, clinging to various situations such as having or not having, not the achievers of body and enjoyment, cannot cause various actions, but rather taking, that is, craving arising from various desires, views, discipline and asceticism, and self-speech, in order to achieve various forms. The various actions caused by craving and attachment to desires, etc., are the craving and attachment to various desires, views, discipline and asceticism, and self-speech, and it is from that gateway that existence will occur later, meaning only through the gateway of craving and attachment to desires, etc. Even so, it should not be thought that only the cause of clinging is existence. The actions of those who fear falling into evil destinies and desire good destinies, the clinging that is inconsistent with that, is inconsistent and unsuitable for falling into evil destinies, the meaning of which is that it is not suitable as a cause for the existence of actions that lead to falling into evil destinies, because it is turning away from evil destinies. The desire and craving for desires, etc., that precede the clinging to the feelings of good destinies are suitable, meaning those who fear falling into evil destinies and desire good destinies. Therefore, the cause of existence is taking itself, which is not contradictory in all cases. Which of the
