Nā no. The teaching that begins with the establishment of three parts by distinguishing the three times is as follows: How many of the twelve links of dependent origination are past? The answer is: Two, namely ignorance and action. By the meaning of having arisen and ceased, and by the meaning of not being the previous life. How many are in the future? The answer is: Two, namely birth and old age and death. Birth with four branches, by the meaning of uninterruptedly manifesting accomplishment with faults, and by the meaning of not being other times. How many are happening now? The answer is: Eight, namely consciousness is the meaning of completely grasping the power that is happening now. Name and form, etc., are the meaning of the nature of the seed that is happening now. Craving, etc., are the meaning of the worker happening now. Among them, the links of craving and grasping have the function of causing existence. The link of existence has the function of creating the place of birth. Thus, these are what I have shown based on reason and scripture. From the three times that appear in the sutra spoken by the monks, ignorance and action are the past time. From consciousness to existence is the time that is happening now. Birth and old age and death are the future time. Also, it is said in other sutras: The twelve links of dependent origination should be understood as five stages, namely ignorance and action are the stage of the agent. Consciousness and name and form are the stage of the womb. The six senses and contact and feeling are the stage of entering the object. Craving and grasping and existence are the stage of occurring. Birth and old age and death are the stage of ripening. Also, in other sutras, consciousness is said to be food, and it will manifest accomplishment in the future. We do not like people like us, because they think that the concise sutras are not well explained, so we need to think hard about what these people intend. What the Buddha taught is his own intention.

are different and limitless, because they depend on the inclinations of sentient beings, as well as various factors such as realms and antidotes, in order to enter. Here, it should be said that if the order of dependent origination is as it appears in this sutra, then from the categories of phenomena that include causes, conditions, and bases, it is said that, "Monks, the cause of improper attention is ignorance, the cause of ignorance is craving, the cause of craving is karma, and the cause of karma is from the eye to the mind." Saying this would be contradictory. If the order were exactly like that, it would contradict the sutras. If asked this, there is no contradiction, because it is intentional. There, craving and grasping are shown as one limb, because desire and so on are aspirations, and attachment is a distinction of craving. Karma in the state of existence is spoken of as karma. Birth in the state of the six sense bases is spoken of as the six sense bases. In this way, it is said with the intention of realizing dependent origination, but not with the intention of projecting. "Craving arises from ignorance" is said with the intention of the general cause of all craving. Here, the distinction of craving is shown by the distinction of feeling. "Craving arises from feeling" is said with the intention of a specific cause. There, also, in the sense of following ignorance, improper attention is said to be a cause, but not a complete entry, because it produces ignorance. If there is delusion, there is improper attention, but if there is no delusion, there is not. As it is said in that very text, "Wrong attention based on the eye and form arises from delusion." In the twelve limbs, complete entry is shown as a cause. Therefore, improper attention is not said to be a cause of ignorance, and it has already been known before. Therefore, there is no contradiction. Considering the differences in the beings to be tamed, the Buddha, the Blessed One
