Indeed, this is the seed for the future sprout of existence to be realized. If any grasping is completely and utterly developed and expanded, then from that door, the state of accumulated karmic imprints of that very place, in order to immediately realize the next life, gaining entry, therefore it is shown that existence is conditioned by grasping. What is meant by entry? Whatever has the distinction of completely transforming karmic imprints, which causes its own fruit to be realized, that is what is meant by entry here. For example, like a madder flower dyed with the juice of rubia. Why is it not accepted that only craving is the condition for existence? Because craving for feeling inevitably leads to desire and so forth in order to be in accordance with or separate from it, and without grasping, actions will not exist, and even without desire and so forth, craving alone for feeling does not arouse all kinds of actions, but actions aroused through desire and so forth with intention and attachment, only through that door will existence later occur. For those beings who fear bad migrations and desire good migrations, craving that is not in accordance with that destination is not reasonable as a condition for making the actions of going to bad migrations exist. Intention and attachment to desire and so forth, which precedes craving for the feeling of good migrations, is reasonable. For those whose craving turns away from existence and is not in accordance with rebirth, how can their actions be accomplished through that condition? Therefore, it must be acknowledged that existence is conditioned by grasping. Well, what the Blessed One said, that joy itself obtained from another is grasping, and that existence is also conditioned by that, in the Sutra of Feeling, monks, whatever feeling is experienced by uneducated and unlearned ordinary people, is extensively explained, whatever feeling it is, the joy in it is grasping. Existence is conditioned by that grasping, it is said up to that point. Moreover, innate craving, joy, is associated with attachment.
