Regarding feeling, it is described in detail that anger gradually increases, and so on. If one possesses happiness, the mind will be calm. If one possesses happiness, one will expound the Dharma, and so on, which will lead to contradictions. If both are certain, then one will fall into two faults. If it is uncertain, then what is said will be meaningless. If someone asks this, then even if it is uncertain here, what is said will not be meaningless, because it is to show the specific cause of craving. Similarly, to explain this, it is the same as before. Feeling is the main cause, because craving arises universally through possessing feelings such as happiness. In explaining dependent origination, the distinction of craving is completed. So, what is the "grasping" in "grasping conditioned by craving"? "There are four kinds of grasping," and so on, is described in detail, from grasping at desire to grasping at self. The wording here is, should it be understood as seeing form, or as the aggregate of form? What will it become? If it is understood as seeing form, then it is called grasping at desire, etc., which only shows the distinction of grasping through different ways of grasping, but not the essence. So, what are desire, etc.? It should be explained what the grasping of those is. If it is like the aggregate of form, because desire, etc., are themselves grasping, then both the essence of grasping itself and the distinction of grasping are shown, then what are desire, etc.? How should it be explained that it is grasping? It should be worded like seeing form. Some people will understand its essence even through distinction alone, which has been explained before. The desire mentioned here refers to the five qualities of desire. The euphemism for those five qualities of desire, as stated elsewhere, is "the one with desire is desire." Similarly, if one seeks desire, and desire arises in the body, if those desires are not satisfied, they will cause harm like a thorn.

Falling is seeing as existing and seeing as perishing. Through it, the view also becomes different. The discipline and asceticism related to this are discipline and asceticism. Among them, vowing not to do what should not be done is discipline. Vowing differences in clothing, drinks, food, bathing, and severe behavior, etc., is asceticism. Seeing "I" is clinging to self, and through it, because of saying "I", those who hold the view of self will become speakers of self. If asked what the saying itself reveals, through it, it is only doing some speaking, and if asked, they do not know, because the view of self has no basis. They speak and cling to considering the five aggregates of grasping as "I". Others say that the view of self is not speaking. In other sutras, it is said: Bhikshus, how do ignorant, unlearned common people, controlled by ignorance, say "I" to these five aggregates of grasping, and make the subtle habit of clinging connect with the mind and be completely attached? Bhikshus, ignorant, unlearned common people correctly see form as "I" and speak extensively about it. If the view of self is speaking of self, then what other clinging is there? Therefore, because the last word is not spoken, it is speaking of self, indicating that speaking of self is clinging, just as speaking half a word, etc., is called speaking half a word. Why is speaking mentioned? To show that as long as there is speaking, there is clinging. It is said: Bhikshus, ignorant, unlearned common people consider "I" and "mine" to be speculations, but not like that of "mine". Others say that saying "this is me" is speaking of self, because it is speculating about which thing of the body is "this is me". If that is the case, then it will become speaking of self to the aggregates themselves, and if they say "I" to those aggregates, clinging will become a subtle habit, how is that said?
