It is also to show that it is not such a feeling. How can there be more suffering in a very peaceful samadhi? Therefore, it is unreasonable to say that showing the three feelings is intentional. However, what the Blessed One said that considering suffering as happiness is reversed is also for two kinds of suffering, not knowing that it is suffering, and only considering one of them as happiness, which is reversed. However, what is said that the feeling of happiness should be regarded as suffering is also for the purpose of combining with seeing that suffering itself is two kinds of suffering. Because this is the method of getting rid of attachment, and because it has many sufferings, like a pile of lentil meat. The young bhikkhu Lotus said: Because it is the cause of suffering, and because it is produced by many sufferings, for things that are suffering, it is considered pleasing, and if it is suffering, it is clung to as happiness. The feeling of happiness does not exist, because it does not stay in the state of happiness. Drinks, food, clothes, etc., which are considered to be the cause of happiness, will become suffering if they are used too much or at the wrong time. Whatever becomes the cause of happiness should not become suffering. Therefore, these are not the cause of happiness. It is thought that the cessation of other suffering is happiness, for example, when a person carrying a heavy load on his head changes his posture, the headache and so on will subside. Therefore, happiness is only non-existent, and if he does not understand these, he will think that those causes of happiness are real. It is only thought that the difference of the external environment is the cause of happiness, but the difference of the internal physical condition is not considered, and the combination of the two is the cause of happiness. If you understand in what way these two situations will become happiness, then it will no longer become suffering. The cause of happiness is not unreal, for example, fire, rice, barley, vegetables and fish, etc., if you find other suitable conditions, it will become the cause of deliciousness.

Such other circumstances, if found, would not become the cause of anything not being delicious; this is just an example. Even if the feeling of suffering is slightly calmed, sometimes it completely cuts off other feelings of pleasure; there, only pleasure will produce the thought of pleasure, not the calming of suffering. For example, like the two situations of massaging a tired body and doing other activities. If it were not so, even for a long time, only the thought of pleasure that is the same as the pleasure of tiredness would arise, and one would never fully enjoy pleasure, nor would one fully enjoy suffering. That is just slightly establishing happiness as being separated from suffering. It is not even a thought of happiness, because one cannot fully enjoy other feelings. Here, it is just like that; most people strive to find delicious food and drink, but ordinary rice, fruit, bamasas, coarse grains, and just water cannot calm the suffering of hunger and thirst. When one is free from hunger and thirst, because of the difference between the taste being delicious or the nose smelling fragrant other substances being very delicious and extremely delicious, the thought of the difference of happiness arises, then what other suffering is calmed? The ears will also listen to various pleasing and melodious sounds. Therefore, for the feeling of suffering itself, in order to calm other suffering, the thought of happiness will not arise. Not only is other suffering slightly calmed, but it is also established by scripture and reasoning, because the scriptures say that feelings arising from the cause of touch are of three kinds. Here also, one must rely on the uncertain itself out of the two, cause and effect, and the two, certain and uncertain. Why? If the cause of feeling is certain, then other causes and the immediately preceding cause, and the object of focus would not become causes. It would contradict the Sutra Pitaka, because whatever feelings sentient beings generate, all arise in dependence on it, and not without depending on it. Depending on what does it arise? It arises depending on faith, depending on conceptual thought, and depending on touch, as the scriptures say.

Similarly, it is said that the origin of all the sufferings of sentient beings is the aggregates. If the cause is definite, then the dharmas arising from other minds due to the cause of contact will not be established. If both are definite, then it will fall into the fault as mentioned before. Therefore, one should rely only on the indefinite. The explanation will not become meaningless either, because it is to show the main cause. Contact is the main cause, also because different contacts such as experiencing happiness give rise to feelings such as happiness. Thus, when it arises, other causes such as desire and discrimination also depend on contact, but contact does not necessarily depend on them. After explaining dependent origination, the classification of feelings is completed. The cause of feeling is craving, the so-called craving
