Those are merely its object. If, for things that arise and cease and later occur, there is no finding of the cause that makes them occur, then for those things, this consciousness will not arise. Yogis, by the power of samadhi, with the distinction of the continuum completely transformed by the consciousness born from it in other places, remember the past, or infer the future, and the inference of previously experienced phenomena, and the inference of phenomena previously experienced of the same kind as it, and even if there is no phenomenon, knowledge will not arise in the past and future. It is also proclaimed in the world that, by its power, not being born is also a cause. What is the cause? If I am the son of a rich man, why should I be a beggar? The answer is that the father's death is the cause. For abandoning it, the father's death has no effect. What is the thought on this? If his father had not died, they would not have become such a situation. The determination of aggregation will be done later. Contact arises from the six sense bases, thus it is established. In the explanation of the 《Dependent Origination Sutra》, the detailed classification of contact is completed. The cause of contact is feeling, what is feeling? There are three kinds of feeling, the detailed explanation shows the detailed classification of feeling. What is the feeling of happiness? When it arises, it produces the feeling of not wanting to be separated. What is suffering? When it arises, it produces the feeling of wanting to be separated. What is neither suffering nor happiness? When it arises, it produces the feeling that neither arises. Here is a verse: When it arises, one does not want to be separated, wanting to be separated and neither, what cause is the feeling to be known, that is the order of happiness etc. That's how it is. Then, those who strive to restrain, even if they do not want to, are entangled by desire, and for the happiness arising from desire, what is it that arises that wants to be separated? That is not born from it. Then, from what does it arise? Its happiness is

, seeing moral discipline and samadhi as obstacles, thereby refuting it. If feelings are threefold, then what is the meaning of what the Blessed One said in other sutras, "Whatever is felt, that is suffering here"? In other sutras, "Whatever is felt, that is suffering here," this refers to, Ananda, I spoke considering the impermanence of formations and the change of formations, this is the intention of the Tathagata. Moreover, two kinds of feelings are not inherently painful, so it shows that it is intentional suffering. The venerable Shariputra also said, "O life-possessor, feelings are these three: impermanent pleasure, suffering, and neither suffering nor pleasure." If one realizes that whatever is impermanent is suffering, then there will be no joy or happiness in immeasurable feelings. Why did the Blessed One speak of complete change, but not the venerable Shariputra? The Blessed One showed the three aspects of suffering, while the venerable Shariputra only pointed out the suffering of formations, because it is universal. If whatever is impermanent is suffering, then it would also extend to the path. No, because it is said considering the five aggregates of clinging. Why? Because for the objects of desire and attachment, one should use the concept of impermanence to lead to incompatible concepts. Considering the incompatible suffering and happiness, it is shown that whatever is impermanent is suffering. Therefore, it will not extend to the path. The venerable Shariputra also said that if one sees that any delightful thing is impermanent, it will become incompatible. Therefore, if one recognizes that whatever is impermanent is suffering, then self-grasping will not subtly exist there, this is what he meant to express. Any object that becomes the basis of feelings such as suffering is related to both birth and death, therefore it becomes incompatible in sequence, this is what the sutra says, "Whatever is impermanent is suffering." The path is

If it is not like that, there will be no excess on the path. Some say that showing the three feelings is intentional, and suffering itself is only one feeling. This is a wrong thought about this. The Blessed One, considering that all feelings are suffering, spoke in this way. Ananda, considering the impermanence of formations and the change of formations, I said, whatever is felt, that is suffering here. If showing the three feelings is intentional, then it should be said that I spoke the three feelings considering this. For the time being, assuming that showing the three feelings is intentional, then what is the feeling of reduced suffering? It is happiness. What is great? It is suffering. The middle one is shown as neither suffering nor happiness, which is in accordance with the world, and worldly people understand those as happiness and so on. What is the characteristic of the feeling of suffering? By what is it shown that all feelings are suffering? If when something arises, one wants to be separated, or when something arises, one does not want to be separated, or neither, then how can that be established as suffering? Or, if what is relied upon causes harm, that is suffering, then how can what is relied upon be beneficial, how can that be suffering? Or, how do the noble ones see suffering, that is the characteristic of feeling suffering. The noble ones see the feelings of suffering of formations, then, there is no difference, how can the small suffering, the middle, and the great suffering of feelings be established through it? If it is only because formations are suffering that feeling is called suffering, then there are three sufferings: the suffering of formations and the suffering of change, there will be no such sutra. In the third dhyana, there will be a feeling of small suffering, because the feeling of happiness is shown. Above it is the middle feeling that is neither suffering nor happiness.
