No. My enemy, especially referring to what was done before, or suspecting it was done before, is internal. The external is not like that. The meaning of arising is the meaning of the source of birth, as it is said in the scriptures, consciousness arises dependent on the two. Others say it means door, as it is said in the scriptures: Brahma, the eye is the door, in order to be able to see all forms. Like this, it continues to be said. Those outside of that, which door is it, must be said. Others say it means place, like the birthplace of the gods. If one consciousness arises from two eyes, then where is its place? If it is said that both are, because it is not in the middle, it will become two. Or it is said that that is also its place. If it is said that one does not arise from two, that is also not possible, because the two will arise very clearly. With eyes open and half-closed, one will not see two moons and so on at the same time. Just as both eyes are open and both eyes are half-closed, it is not at the same time. The external objects of grasping are also, how is it a place? How are the mind and dharma, which are not simultaneous with consciousness, a place? Like the place of the gods, the eyes and so on are not a place, because the dharmas that are not embodied and not colored cannot establish a place, therefore, from the nine hundred verses, starting from the consciousness of the eye, it says: It is not in the eye and form, and there is no place between the two, for whom is it a place, it is neither existent nor non-existent. It is said like this. The all-knowing one is consciousness, therefore it is shown as like an illusion. Which child clings to self, is grasped by being shaken. It is said like this. Then, I feel in my mind, I feel for my mind, how is this completely eliminated? Because those parts of the body arise from the realm where it exists. This is only like that, if one does not completely grasp the parts of the body, one cannot completely eliminate the nature of feeling. Therefore, like the place of the gods, the meaning of place is not the meaning of the source of birth. The cause is also called a place.

As it is said in the verses: "These three aspects, by their abode, will be born in the realm of the gods." Thus it is said. Therefore, the meaning of "abode" is the meaning of "source of birth." The meaning of "arising" is the meaning of "source of birth." What is said in this way is all reasonable. In terms of etymology, the six aggregates of consciousness cause birth to increase, hence they are called "sources of birth." This is because it is the cause of the continuity of birth. From this, form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, which are the distinctions of the objects of form, etc., are, in order, the eye, etc. Why is the distinction of the object and function of touch called "body"? Because the body is pervasive and is a distinction of the accumulation of minute particles. When the feeling of the body is shown, at that time, the five are also called "body," because each one is an accumulation of minute particles and abides in the body. Abiding also has the binding of abiding. Like "the boy speaks," "the mountain collapses," "with a loving heart, focusing on one direction," and so on. The source of birth of mind, within the aggregates, is the aggregate of consciousness. Within the realms, it is the realm of mind and the six realms of consciousness. Other than these, what else is the realm of mind? There is nothing else, but these themselves, in terms of their function as the immediately preceding condition, are established as the realm of mind, in order to show the place of the sixth consciousness. The six sources of birth have been explained. Even so, name and form do not have six sources of birth. Just as rain is produced by the cause of clouds, fruit is produced by the cause of flowers, and yellowness, etc., is produced by the cause of turmeric, etc., how can the six sources of birth be caused by their cause? It should be determined that the primary factor of all six sources of birth is name and form. Not all name and form are the cause of the six sources of birth, just as rain from clouds, etc. When, from the moment of connecting continuity, in the stage of name and form, the body...
