O! Death is the disappearance of life, warmth, and consciousness. As shown by "not dwelling with the companion who has abandoned ignorance," it illustrates not mixing with the pure Dharmas that are the cause of turning away from Samsara, such as the abandonment of ignorance. Abandoning ignorance means relinquishing ignorance, or after ignorance has disappeared, generating wisdom that is incompatible with it. As shown by "not dwelling with the companion of the view of the perishable aggregation," it illustrates not mixing with wrong views. Among them, the perishable aggregation refers to the five Skandhas, such as form, which have the nature of being perishable, and are the aggregation of Skandhas. To view that there is a self in it is the view of the perishable aggregation. Since the view of the perishable aggregation itself is the root, it is the root of the view of the perishable aggregation, because it is the cause of all views. What arises from the root of that view is between the sixty-two views. The sixty-two views refer to the eternalist view, having boundaries, being boundless, etc., as stated in the Brahma Net Sutra and the Five Threes Sutra, etc., and should be understood as such. The mention of "between" is because of the twenty peaks of the mountain of self-view, that is, viewing the self in form, the self being combined with form, form belonging to the self, the self existing in form, etc. Similarly, the remaining four Skandhas, namely feeling, etc., should also be combined accordingly. Therefore, not dwelling with the companion of all those views is the general meaning of this. High and low are the result, and worldly Dharmas are the cause. Thus, because obtaining gain, etc., will give rise to a haughty mind, and because not obtaining gain, etc., will give rise to a base mind. Because one is not swayed by these eight worldly Dharmas, and the mind is neither arrogant nor discouraged, it is said not to dwell with the companion of high and low, which means not dwelling with the companion between the eight worldly Dharmas. Among them, gain and no gain refer to robes and begging bowls, etc. Fame and ill-repute refer to merits and faults. Disparagement and praise refer to speaking of shortcomings and expressing merits in verses. Happiness and suffering are

It benefits and harms the body and mind. [From] what is called anger and holding grudges [begins], until all the near afflictions, [saying] not coexisting and not being together, shows that it is not mixed with the near afflictions. Pride is also called a near affliction because it makes the mind close to affliction. Among these, anger lies in causing immediate harm, it is the complete torment of the mind. Holding grudges is after anger, thinking "This person has caused me this harm," grasping the knot that keeps emerging, not letting go. Concealing is eliminating desire, hatred, fear, etc., when a speaker who wants to help says "You do this," hiding faults. Completely annoying is causing others to generate inner annoyance with harsh words. Jealousy is seeing the wealth, respect, caste, discipline, learning, etc. of others, and the mind belonging to the category of hatred stirs from within. Stinginess is being attached to wealth and respect, and with a greedy mind not giving up external and internal things. Flattery is being particularly attached to wealth and respect, because of considering others, placing the meaning of discipline etc. in other places, but showing it in other places. Cunning is taking the method of hiding one's own faults, transferring from one place to another, entrusting words to the wind, not stating clearly. Shamelessness is knowing that those actions are wrong, but not avoiding faults. Immodesty is not avoiding the faults of others. Arrogance is because of a strong desire, the posture of the body appears arrogant, such as stretching hands and feet, raising the head, frowning, gnashing teeth, etc., not performing actions such as joining palms, prostrating, etc. to Khenpo, Acharya, and Lama etc. Arguing is starting from those causes, performing actions of beating, binding, speaking faults, and revealing privacy etc. with body and speech. Negligence is because of being happy with one's own caste, health, appearance, youth, etc., having this particular completeness, making the mind involuntary. Negligence is desire and hatred
