It is called the aspect of excellence. Alternatively, in the sutras, if bodhisattvas and others bless with the truth of their own vows, it will be so. This should also be combined with "arising from hearing." Believing in the ripening of karma is to see that karma and its results exist. Relying on oneself is not relying on others. Knowing others is also doing things without relying on others, because it also arises from hearing. Guarding one's own mind is not letting it fall into things that should not be done. Diligence is to rejoice in the manifestation of virtue, and not abandoning it is to do it constantly and respectfully. Rightly attending to the Dharma is to ascertain with wisdom all the afflictions and pure dharmas, such as the aggregates, elements, and sense bases. Having listened to the Dharma as it has been taught, thinking about it with wisdom, if one meditates, one will abandon afflictions, so it is called the aspect of counteracting afflictions. One's own side is the side of the bodhisattva, the pure dharmas, and the sentient beings belonging to its retinue. Guarding is not letting those aspects be taken away by others, and not letting them become slaves to afflictions. The other side is the maras and heretics, etc., and cutting off them and afflictions is to make them powerless and degraded. The seven riches are: faith, discipline, shame, embarrassment, hearing, generosity, and the wealth of wisdom. Hearing includes these, so it is called the aspect of true inclusion. Thus, the seven noble riches are far superior to the wealth of non-saints, because these are truly included in hearing, so it is called cutting off all poverty, and hearing cuts off all poverty, which is its synonym. The wise are those who have mastered the five sciences, and hearing is the antidote to abandoning all faults and the cause of obtaining excellent qualities, so it is called the aspect praised by the wise. The learned are those who think well, speak well, do good deeds, and understand the meaning of good and bad words.

Being able to comprehend, such people are said to have the aspect of manifesting joy in the wise because they are fond of hearing. The noble hearers and, the solitary Buddhas and, the Thus-gone ones, even I can comprehend such hearing, or the noble ones rejoice in hearing, therefore hearing is the aspect of the noble ones knowing all. Non-noble ones are ordinary people, because they can also believe and have faith in the wisdom of hearing, therefore it is called the aspect of non-noble ones having faith. Because seeing the four noble truths arises from the wisdom of hearing, it is called the aspect of seeing the truth. The faults of the contaminated aggregates, birth and, old age etc., the method of completely abandoning them also arises from hearing, so it is said. Because the wisdom of hearing can comprehend the faults of the phenomena of samsara, it is called the aspect of completely measuring the faults of conditioned things. Relying on meaning etc., the four reliances are also connected with arising from hearing, their meaning is explained in the chapter on the four reliances. If one has hearing, one will not do sinful non-virtuous deeds, so it is called the aspect of not doing all sins. Benefiting oneself and others is to lead oneself and others out of non-virtuous states, placing them in virtuous states or bringing wisdom to its ultimate conclusion, this is also connected with arising from hearing. Hearing itself is the nature of virtue, so it is called the aspect of well-done actions. Because it is done so well, it is the aspect of not regretting, because having done virtuous deeds, there is no worry in the mind that it will become like this later. Especially progressing is to obtain special qualities that have not been obtained, or until the stage of practice of faith, to overcome all higher stages, this is also connected with arising from hearing. All the Buddha's teachings, such as powers and fearlessness etc., in short, all these Buddha's teachings are also obtained by relying on hearing, there is no other method than that, so it is called the aspect of obtaining all the Buddha's teachings. With the aim of showing the entry of wisdom, to the venerable son of Sharadvati, the Bodhisattvas' proper attention
