The so-called focusing on the Great Lord means that when first entering into meditation, it is for the sake of abandoning the afflictions of all sentient beings. It is for the sake of focusing on meditation and abiding in it, and entering into meditation. Focusing on the desire realm means observing the sentient beings of the desire realm. Therefore, the meditation of Bodhisattvas is the reversion of Samadhi. Worldly people and others abide in the Samadhi of the higher realms and revert from it, unable to abide in the higher realms, while the meditation of Bodhisattvas is extremely free, and even if they arise from the higher realms focusing on the desire realm, they will not degenerate, this is a summary statement. These words show the difficult practice. In order to know all the mental activities of all sentient beings, etc., it shows the clear mastery of supernormal powers and great illusion, mental activities have been shown before, and will be shown later. Completely practicing supernormal powers means that the Bodhisattva's meditation, which knows all mental activities, makes the five supernormal powers capable. The so-called in order to know the mastery of the mind, etc., shows the excellent purity of the power of obtaining mastery over the mind. To control with the characteristic of one-pointed concentration is to know the mastery of the mind. Therefore, the mind is capable, not controlled by afflictions such as desire, and able to abide as desired, this is a summary statement. The so-called in order to subdue the form and formless realms, etc., shows the difference in freedom of entering, abiding, and arising from meditation. The meditation of Bodhisattvas, for meditation and so on, can initially enter into meditation at will, in the middle they can abide for as long as they wish, and finally they can arise from meditation when they are happy. But the samadhi of worldly people, before the power of initially entering samadhi is exhausted, they cannot arise from meditation, nor can they enter into any meditation at will when they want to, therefore it is called subduing. All the samadhis of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas can be subdued.

The reason for saying "in order to suppress" and so on is to show the difference in the power of being superior even to that which transcends the world. Peace and complete peace refer to the peace and complete peace of the conceptualization of the apprehended and the apprehender. Or, in order to abandon both the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations to knowledge, it is called peace and complete peace. The reason for saying "in order to be utterly ultimate" and so on is to show the difference in the power of being undiminished. Non-disturbance is a synonym for having become ultimate, and cannot be harmed by opposing factors. The reason for saying "in order to completely destroy all connections of afflictions and habitual tendencies" and so on is to show the difference in the power of being without knowledge and without afflictions. Wrongful clinging refers to all the entanglements and latent habitual tendencies that are the cause of connecting the continuum in other lifetimes by means of karma and afflictions; it is a synonym for its antidote. The reason for saying "in order to liberate from all the worlds" and so on is to show the difference in the purity of view by being free from attachment to beings and phenomena. All the worlds refers to the manifest clinging to attachment to beings and phenomena, showing liberation from these, the meditation of the Bodhisattvas is to enter into wisdom; this meditation causes one to enter into non-conceptual wisdom, being free from attachment to beings and phenomena, it is its synonym. The reason for saying "in order to liberate all sentient beings" and so on is to show the difference in the purity of benefiting by benefiting sentient beings in all ways. Liberation is in order to liberate from the lower realms and the suffering of existence. The thought of benefiting all sentient beings precedes action, which means that the thought of benefiting and making all sentient beings happy is sent forth first. The reason for saying "in order to perfect the inexhaustible meditation of the Thus-Gone One" and so on is to show the difference in the purity of the power of not cutting off the lineage of the Three Jewels. The meditation of the Thus-Gone One is what was said above. By means of meditation, the world realms where the name of the Three Jewels was not previously proclaimed are proclaimed, and where it is proclaimed, the lineage of the Three Jewels is not interrupted; one enters in order to perfect the meditation that does so.
