What is it like? Because it possesses all the perfections of the world and beyond, it is the most excellent of all aspects. Thus, because it possesses all the power of perfection, the word "King of the Holy Dharma" is combined. In order to obtain joy and faith in the Dharma that is free from the defilements of grasping and being grasped, and that realizes the selflessness of phenomena, all the pleasures of the body, the joy of the mind, and the games that soothe the mind are given. The foot of the Holy Dharma is the remaining seven of the eight noble path limbs except for right view, or the two of the three trainings except for the higher training of wisdom. The hand of the Holy Dharma is to show the Holy Dharma to sentient beings who are to be tamed. Therefore, in order to give sentient beings the hand of showing the Holy Dharma, thereby rescuing them from the mud of the three realms, that is its meaning. The faculties are faith and so on, and the eyes and so on. The Buddha's eye is the realization of ultimate truth. The Dharma eye is the realization of the branches of the scriptures. What is superior to all of the three realms are the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and the peak of these is called the All-Knowing Wisdom. The body without essence refers to the five aggregates produced by karma and afflictions. Relying on this body without essence, in order to take the Dharma body that has essence and to live near Nirvana, it is combined to completely give away the flesh and blood that sustain life. Softness and so on refer to the softness of the skin and so on. The Buddha's body is said to be indestructible and hard like a diamond, and hard like the son of Sredmed, because it is not harmed by inner afflictions and outer winds and so on. The purity of the nature of abandoning unfavorable aspects should also be understood by abandoning the four faults of giving. The fault of the object to be given, the fault of intention, the fault of the recipient as a guest, and the fault of giving to the recipient. These are also explained by the venerable son of Sharadvati and other Bodhisattvas not seeking the giving of unfavorable enjoyments and so on.

Incompatible enjoyments, and giving that harms sentient beings, and other similar things, are faults of the object of giving. Generating pride and giving, etc., are faults of intention. Inviting as guests and completely giving, etc., are faults of inviting the recipient as a guest. Giving less than what was said, etc., is a fault of offering to the recipient. The remaining words of the sutra are also combined in accordance with these four types of faults. Since the bodhisattva's giving is free from these faults, it is called the nature of abandoning incompatible aspects, which is completely pure. Among them, giving in search of incompatible enjoyments is reckless and careless, acquiring enjoyments unlawfully and then giving them to others. Such giving is not present in bodhisattvas, thus combining it. Faults of objects, etc., are not present in the bodhisattva's giving, and the following are also widely combined. Giving that harms sentient beings is, for example, killing in order to liberate those afflicted by disease from the suffering of disease, or teaching methods of killing beings as giving, or performing evil sacrifices, large-scale sacrifices in which many beings are gathered and killed, performing such sacrifices and giving. Giving with a proud mind, with an attitude of arrogance, is called generating pride and giving. The bodhisattva does not give to sentient beings out of fear of enemies, out of favoritism towards friends, or out of affection for ordinary people. There is no giving in which the beggar is first invited as a guest and then not given to later. Reducing from what was said and what was promised, not giving, but giving equal or more, therefore there is no giving less than what was said. Having good things, one does not give inferior and bad things. Giving things that are useless to oneself and others is called giving because it is not a superior intention. Giving inferior things in order to obtain precious things is a deceitful giving. Giving imitations, such as imitation jewels, pearls, and vaiḍūrya, etc., is a counterfeit giving.
