Even if offering just a sesame seed-sized amount, one should give all tastes in order to attain the ability to pervade the entire body. Abodes are houses and so on, and because they protect oneself from harm, Bodhisattvas also give abodes in order to have the power of abodes and so on for all sentient beings. Bedding is mats and so on, and because they allow one to experience the bliss of sleep and so on, Bodhisattvas also give bedding in order to attain the eight liberations' bedding that has abandoned all obscurations, as well as the noble abode, the three doors of liberation, the divine abode, the four concentrations, and the Brahma abode, the four immeasurables. One gives cushions in order to subdue and attain each of the vajra seats that exist in each of the three thousand great thousand world realms. Utensils refer to all the implements, from face cloths onwards, other than those mentioned by name above, and because they prevent one from being busy, Bodhisattvas also give utensils in order to completely fulfill all the accumulations of merit and wisdom, the equipment for enlightenment. Non-aging means without aging. Non-death means without death, and the absence of aging and death itself is the bliss of nectar, referring to nirvana. Male and female servants and so on are not used, but rather one indulges oneself, or those male and female servants are happily indulged in desires, then they will attain the bliss of their own indulgence, so Bodhisattvas also give male and female servants in order to fulfill the self-existing wisdom that is possessed by the Tathagatas, the independence without a master, the independence without a master, and the increase of self-enjoyment without a master, without the scriptural authority taught by the Khenpo and Acharya, thereby directly awakening oneself. Because lineage and thought, as well as faith and aspiration, and diligent effort and so on are great, therefore the actions of a person are great, hence great Bodhisattvas and Buddhas are called great persons, and in order to symbolize and clearly reveal that they are great persons by these, therefore, it is the mark of a great person. Praising the noble one refers to the Cakravartin...

In order to particularly show the distinction over the name of the king, one abides in the land, and is clear, and is completely perfect. These are also the thirty-two marks, such as having the marks of the wheel on the hands and feet, which are mentioned in the sutras. In order to fulfill these, one gives all precious things such as gold. The thirty-two marks of a great person are held in the manner of a support, and beautified by a good form, so they are excellent marks. These are also the eighty minor marks, such as nails like the color of red copper, which are mentioned in the sutras. In order to completely perfect these, one gives various ornaments such as bracelets and armlets. The crest jewel and diadem are the supreme ornament of the head, the most excellent of the limbs. In order to obtain the crown of the head of the Thus-Gone One, which cannot be seen even from the world of Brahma, one gives ornaments for the head. By riding horses and so on, one goes to the place to be traveled, so one goes by this great vehicle, the ten grounds of the Bodhisattva with their fruits, or in order to perfect the place to be traveled here, one gives horses and cattle and young servants and vehicles. The first of the four meditations has five branches, the second has four branches, and so on, and in order to perfect the collection of those branches, the desire for virtue, and the guarding of the senses, and knowing the measure of food, and so on, one gives gardens and other places where body and mind become happy. That above which there is no other enlightenment is unsurpassed, and that is the all-knowing wisdom that understands that all dharmas are manifestly and completely awakened without error, completely and without remainder. Among all joys, that is the supreme joy, so in order to obtain that, one gives the supreme of worldly joy and sorrow, male children and so on. Whatever object is given for whatever fruit is desired, the following should also be applied accordingly. The place where the twelve branches of the Thus-Gone One's scriptures abide and are held is called the treasury and storehouse of the sacred Dharma, and that refers to the wisdom and mindfulness of the Bodhisattva. Since enlightenment itself is the essence, it is the essence of enlightenment, and that is
