The so-called "realization" refers to not comparing the differences between oneself and others. If one speaks one way and thinks another, that is hypocrisy. Because there is no such thought, it is called "thorough realization." The so-called "purity, therefore no hypocrisy," refers to destroying habitual tendencies. Because the habitual tendencies of deception and hypocrisy are purified, there is no hypocrisy or thought. The characteristics of entering are also fivefold: entering after doing, entering without doing, entering on time, entering without weariness, and entering thoroughly. Among them, the so-called "upright, therefore pure," refers to entering after doing. Having no deception in the mind is called upright, therefore it is pure. The so-called "no crookedness, therefore upright," refers to entering without doing. Crookedness refers to words being swayed by the wind and changing their meaning. Because there is no such situation, it is upright. The so-called "clear, therefore no crookedness," refers to entering on time. Because it clearly shows the meaning to be expressed, there is no crookedness. The so-called "no inequality, therefore clear," refers to entering without weariness. Inequality refers to being inconsistent and contradictory, and without this situation, it is clear. The so-called "firm, therefore no inequality," refers to entering thoroughly. Firmness refers to being stable and becoming the essence. It means that factors of inconsistency and contradiction will not arise. The characteristics of non-retrogression are also fourfold: entering even when harmed, not abandoning union, not being confused by wealth, and not becoming happy because of it. Among them, the so-called "unsplit, therefore firm," refers to entering even when harmed. Splitting refers to thinking of retaliating with hatred if harmed by others. Because there is no such thought, it is firm. The so-called "hard, therefore unsplit." The so-called "unwavering, therefore hard," refers to not abandoning union. Because it does not change the work of benefiting sentient beings, it is called hard, therefore it is unsplit. Because it does not change what has been promised, it is called unwavering, therefore it is hard. The so-called "not dwelling, therefore unwavering," refers to not being confused by wealth. Because it does not rely on wealth such as gain and respect, it does not dwell, meaning it is not attached to wealth. On the other hand, it is affliction.

Because it does not rely on the five aggregates, it has the meaning of being impermanent and unchanging. Because it is not attached to it, it has the meaning of not abiding, which shows that it will not become happiness. Because "it" refers to not being attached to the five aggregates and those defilements, it has the meaning of not abiding. The characteristics of hope are also fivefold, namely, obtaining excellent happiness, having no faults, manifesting the thought of proper attention, being constant, and the true truth. Among them, because of being excellent, "not being attached to it" indicates obtaining excellent happiness. Being excellent refers to obtaining happiness that transcends the world. Because one has obtained happiness that transcends the world, one is not attached to the defilements of the world. Because one is not blamed, one is excellent, which indicates having no faults. The dharma of faults is blamed. Because one has not committed the dharma of sinful faults, one is excellent, thereby obtaining happiness that transcends the world. Because of doing good deeds, "not being blamed" indicates the manifestation of proper attention. Because the three doors of body, speech, and mind have not committed non-virtuous deeds, one is not blamed. "Because of not shrinking back, it is a good deed" indicates constancy. Entering the path of samsara and nirvana, or sometimes doing good and sometimes doing evil, is called shrinking back. Because one does not do such shrinking back deeds, it is called a good deed. "Because there is no regret, one does not shrink back" indicates the true truth, regret refers to the pain that arises in the mind after doing a non-virtuous deed. Because there is no such pain, one does not shrink back, meaning one constantly abides in virtuous dharma. The characteristics of non-perversion are also fivefold, namely, non-perversion itself, the source of teachings, arising from vows, and being in accordance with goodness and wisdom. Because there is no suffering, "there is no regret," which indicates non-perversion itself. Having no suffering means that discomfort always arises in the mind, because there is no such discomfort, there is no regret. "Because it has become true, there is no suffering." "Because there is no deception, it has become true" indicates the source of teachings.
