Shariputra said, 'Son of good family, that is not, it is called inexhaustible.' To desire to exhaust the mind of such omniscience is like desiring to exhaust the sky, which is the meaning of Shariputra's previous statement, 'That is not.' Just as the sky has no end, so too the mind of enlightenment has no end, that is its meaning. The mind of the Thus-gone One is inexhaustible, and the mind of enlightenment is born from its root, etc., showing in other ways that the mind of enlightenment is inexhaustible. The mind of the Thus-gone One refers to the wisdom of omniscience, which is inexhaustible even at the end of samsara. The mind of enlightenment is its root, therefore, since the fruit is inexhaustible, so is the cause, this is what is to be shown. Venerable Shariputra, the morality of the Thus-gone One, etc., shows that the inexhaustible five aggregates are the root of inexhaustibility, therefore the mind of enlightenment is also inexhaustible. Venerable son of Sharadvati, the meditation of the Thus-gone One, etc., like the meditation of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, etc., is not exhausted by reaching the end of nirvana, but the meditation of the Thus-gone One, etc., which is mentioned by name, is inexhaustible in the manner of non-abiding nirvana, because that is its cause, so the mind of enlightenment is also inexhaustible for that reason, this is what is to be shown. Root means cause. Regarding meditation, etc., it will be explained in the chapter on the perfection of meditation. With the characteristic of possessing the teachings, the branches of completely pure morality are shown in the sutras and in detail, from 'the giving of the Thus-gone One' to 'equanimity is inexhaustible.' The six perfections of the Thus-gone One are the cause of inexhaustibility, because the mind of enlightenment is inexhaustible, so it is shown to be inexhaustible. 'The loving-kindness of the Thus-gone One,' etc., shows that the mind of enlightenment is the cause of the four immeasurables of the Thus-gone One, therefore it is inexhaustible. In order to summarize the remaining Buddha-dharmas, the particularly excellent qualities are briefly shown.

From "the ten powers of the Tathagata" and so on, it is shown up to "in short, all the Dharmas of the Buddha are inexhaustible." The ten powers and other Dharmas of the Buddha are the cause of inexhaustibility, therefore, the mind of enlightenment is shown to be inexhaustible. In short, all the Dharmas of the Buddha are inexhaustible, which means that all the Dharmas of the Buddha are inexhaustible in the manner of non-abiding Nirvana, because they are the cause of these Dharmas, so the mind of enlightenment is also inexhaustible. Starting from the cause being completely inexhaustible, such as "Jewel" and so on. The cause being completely inexhaustible is also shown in eight ways, which are: the Three Jewels continue uninterruptedly from one to another, continue uninterruptedly for the sake of protecting the sentient beings' realm, generating the mind is knowing, that is, generating, and knowing is also accomplished by all, and it is also held by unlimited time, the generated mind is also completely dedicated without being fabricated and becomes firm, dedicated to the meaning of reason, and for the complete fulfillment of one's own meaning. Among them, the lineage of the Jewel is uninterrupted, therefore, "inexhaustible" is shown by the Three Jewels continuing uninterruptedly from one to another, from the mind of enlightenment, the lineage of the Three Jewels continues uninterruptedly, whatever cause that will not be exhausted and disappear is the definition of "inexhaustible." The sentient beings' realm is inexhaustible, therefore, "inexhaustible" is shown by continuing uninterruptedly there for the sake of protecting the sentient beings' realm, the mind of enlightenment focuses on all sentient beings' realms, and the sentient beings' realm is infinite and cannot be exhausted, therefore, the mind that focuses on it is also inexhaustible. Because its wisdom is released, "inexhaustible" is shown by generating the mind is also knowing, that is, generating, the wisdom that focuses on the inexhaustible sentient beings' realm is called releasing its cause, wisdom is inexhaustible, therefore, its cause, the mind of enlightenment, is also inexhaustible. When realizing the mind's behavior of all sentient beings, "inexhaustible" is shown by it also being accomplished by means, if even the mind's behavior of one sentient being is not known, then all sentient beings
