It is shown in seven ways. What are the seven? The initial practitioner's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, the first bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, the third bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, the fourth bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, the eighth bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, the ninth bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible, and the tenth bhumi's bodhicitta is inexhaustible. By what cause is it inexhaustible? It is shown by seven causes. What are the seven? Constant virtue, not completely abandoning by nature, not abandoning nature, doing one's own work, constantly and completely gathering the fruit, the cause being completely inexhaustible, and ultimate meaning. How is it inexhaustible? It is shown in two ways. What are the two? The continuity is inexhaustible, and the fear of the moment is inexhaustible. The initial bodhicitta of the Bodhisattvas is also inexhaustible, thus showing that among the seven types of bodhicitta, the initial practitioner's bodhicitta is inexhaustible. And why is it inexhaustible? From the seven causes, up to doing one's own work, it is inexhaustible by four causes. And why is that? Because it is unmixed. Thus, it shows the cause of why the initial practitioner's bodhicitta is inexhaustible. Therefore, that mind is born unmixed with all afflictions, thus showing constant virtue. Why is that? If it is mixed with sudden afflictions, it will be exhausted later like afflictions, but at the time of the initial bodhicitta, it is not mixed with afflictions, because it is pure by nature, it is impossible to exhaust it there, so it is called inexhaustible. Because there is no desire for other vehicles, that mind is born unrelated, thus showing that the nature is not completely abandoned. Other vehicles are the Hearers and Solitary Realizers.

It is not controlled by others, and cannot be established by opponents such as heretics, and is not controlled by them, hence it is called firm. Furthermore, there are five types of self-activities for beginners. What are the five? They are: completely knowing the inverted, completely knowing the distracted, accepting rebirth without afflictions, not being satisfied with striving for the meaning of Dharma, and practicing the Dharma that accords with the Dharma. Among them, the so-called "this mind is born indestructible by all demons" means completely knowing the inverted. Because demons cannot distinguish between Bodhicitta and Bodhisattvas, it is said to be born indestructible, meaning that it will not be controlled by demons and will not abandon Bodhicitta. The so-called "in order to perfectly accomplish all virtuous roots, this mind is born firmly" means completely abandoning distraction. Because after generating Bodhicitta, from its cause, not being attached to sensual pleasures, not generating anger, not being ignorant, etc., all virtuous roots will be accomplished, because it can act as the cause of accomplishing all virtuous roots, it is called firm. The so-called "because of extremely knowing that all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, this mind is born constantly" means accepting rebirth without afflictions. Because of knowing that all conditioned phenomena of the three realms are extremely impermanent, this mind is born constantly, meaning that it is born in Samsara without being controlled by afflictions. The so-called "because of perfectly gathering all the Buddha's teachings, this mind is born unmoving" means not being satisfied with striving for the meaning of Dharma. Because relying on Bodhicitta, the Buddha's qualities, such as the ten powers and four fearlessnesses, will gather, because it is the basis and support for the gathering of the Buddha's teachings, it is called unmoving. The so-called "being separated from all wrong practices, this mind is born irreversible" means practicing the Dharma that accords with the Dharma. The so-called wrong practices refer to wrong views, killing, stealing, non-chastity, etc., which are the practice of the ten non-virtuous deeds, not practicing

Because it is not defiled by the ten things and is not controlled by unwholesome things, it is called non-retrogression. Through one cause of one's own actions, one should know that the remaining six bodhicittas will not be exhausted. Among them, for the initial bodhicitta, it is shown through one's own seven actions, which are: constantly abiding in samadhi, subduing the knowledge of the world and beyond the world with wisdom, realizing the selflessness of the individual, abiding in the practice of antidotes, purifying the vast intention, purifying the great intention, and obtaining the wisdom beyond the world. Among them, because of not engaging in evil deeds, it is said that this mind arises extremely stable, that is, constantly abiding in samadhi, not falling into any side of wrong paths and distractions, not shaking and abiding, so it is called extremely stable. Because there is no antidote, it is said that this mind arises unparalleled, that is, showing the wisdom of subduing the knowledge of the world and beyond the world with wisdom, antidote here refers to rival, because there is no such thing that can be used as a metaphor or rival for bodhicitta, so it is called unparalleled. Because it will surely penetrate all dharmas, it is said that this mind arises like a vajra, that is, showing the realization of the selflessness of the individual, for the opposing side destroying the dharmas or causing the dharmas to be destroyed, truly knowing, it is called surely penetrating, for the firm and fierce or sharp, it is called like a vajra. Because of accumulating immeasurable merit, it is said that this mind arises boundless, that is, showing the dharmas of the opposing side, because immeasurable merit arises from bodhicitta, so it is said to be boundless, which means boundless. In addition, in the stage of faith and desire, accumulating countless merit for one countless kalpa, from this arises the bodhicitta of the first ground, so it is said that this mind arises boundless. For the thoughts of all sentient beings, this mind arises equally, that is, showing the purification of the vast intention, for sentient beings with good and bad thoughts.
