It refers to those with sharp, medium, and inferior faculties. The meaning of "becoming skilled in Dharma" is to teach the Dharma in accordance with faith and faculties. The meaning of "if one desires that," etc., is that if a Bodhisattva with inexhaustible eloquence desires to be like that, even after many lifetimes and many eons, they will not tire of abiding in conduct and will teach the Dharma without deliberation. The meaning of "even by the Dharma he taught," etc., is that the Bodhisattva, by teaching the Dharma with eloquence, will surely bring about liberation for the sake of completely eliminating the suffering of sentient beings, and will be able to completely eliminate suffering in that way. The explanation of Dharani and inexhaustible eloquence is finished. The Bodhisattva who can demonstrate is one who knows the characteristics of all conditioned phenomena, knows the characteristics of all contaminated phenomena, knows the characteristics of all dharmas, and is without the pride of quiescence. Based on that: "Venerable Sharadvatiputra, there are also the four inexhaustible Sutras of Dharma for Bodhisattvas," etc. It shows the establishment of obtaining the summarized meaning of those Sutras. The so-called "Sutra of Dharma" is because it summarizes and reveals the four dharmas of impermanence, etc., of conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, so it is called the Sutra of Dharma. The so-called "inexhaustible" is because the conditioned and unconditioned dharmas that it summarizes are inexhaustible, so it is called inexhaustible. Here, too, it should be understood as the rule of teaching and speaking, starting from "Which four? Namely, like this" up to "inexhaustible wisdom deeply enters" is the rule of teaching. The remaining parts from there onwards are the rule of speaking. The so-called "Bodhisattvas teach that all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, and inexhaustible wisdom deeply enters" means that when Bodhisattvas teach that all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, inexhaustible wisdom arises. That inexhaustibility is also because the dharmas of phenomena are inexhaustible, so that teaching or wisdom is also inexhaustible. Similarly, suffering, etc., the following

These also apply. To show the understanding of the characteristics of all conditioned things, it is said, "What is the meaning of impermanence?" and so on. The meaning of impermanence is also twofold: the meaning of non-existence and the meaning of destruction. Here, since it is considered that all dharmas are empty, the meaning of non-existence is considered as the meaning of impermanence, but not the meaning of destruction. Therefore, the meaning of non-existence and the meaning of non-attachment, but not the meaning of the complete destruction of things, are stated. The meaning of non-existence is that in the ultimate sense, grasping and being grasped, and all imputed dharmas, are not always existent, therefore they are non-existent. That is the meaning of impermanence. The meaning of non-attachment is that there is nothing to be attached to, such as self and mine, therefore it is non-attachment. That is the meaning of impermanence. Therefore, it is explicitly stated that the meaning of the destruction of things does not refer to the impermanence known in the world, nor to the destruction of things from existence, like being burned by fire, but to the absence of inherent permanence from the beginning, which is called impermanence. To show what that meaning is, it is said, "The meaning of impermanence is the selflessness of dharmas," and so on. The absence of essence in the aggregates and elements, etc., is the meaning of impermanence. Since the selflessness of dharmas is always devoid of the nature of grasping and being grasped, there is no destruction in that emptiness. There is nothing that will be destroyed, and it is always empty, that is the meaning of impermanence. To show the understanding of the characteristics of all contaminated things, it is said, "What is the meaning of suffering?" and so on. The meaning of suffering is also fivefold: the meaning opposite to happiness, the meaning of separation from happiness, the meaning of not being an object of happiness, the meaning of being merely a sound, and the meaning of emptiness by nature. Among them, the meaning of no happiness is the meaning of suffering, which shows the meaning opposite to happiness. Suffering is the opposite of happiness, because there is nothing that will be happy or attached to, and the meaning opposite to that is the meaning of suffering. The meaning of the exhaustion of happiness is the meaning of suffering.
