Acting in a way that does not harm oneself or others. Speech that becomes the cause for attaining the noble path, because it is without confusion or imbalance, is called equal establishment. The peaceful Bodhisattva is one who, in the path being cultivated, is encompassed by the edge of right action, having obtained the precepts pleasing to the noble ones. In this regard, it is said, "What is his edge of right action?" and so on. Black karma is the ten non-virtuous actions, white karma is the ten virtuous actions, and mixed karma is the mixture of the ten virtuous and non-virtuous actions. The so-called neither black nor white karma, etc., refers to uncontaminated karma, which does not become the cause of samsara, meaning it is a manifest fabrication. The so-called reliance on karma means that even though one realizes the nature of uncontamination in this way, one does not rely on the ripening of karma. The extremely peaceful Bodhisattva is one who, in the path being cultivated, is encompassed by right livelihood, having obtained the precepts pleasing to the noble ones. In this regard, it is said, "What is his right livelihood?" and so on. What has already been said above will not be repeated here. Easy to satisfy means being content with robes and coarse alms food. Easy to support means being content with just a little. The so-called having what kind of good demeanor refers to the demeanor of conduct and the precepts not being artificial, but naturally very pure. Without fault means not even having a small fault. Approved by the noble ones means that the livelihood described above is the livelihood approved by the noble ones. The renunciate Bodhisattva is one who, in the path being cultivated, has obtained right effort. In this regard, it is said, "What is his right effort?" and so on. The so-called what is right effort, means that if one makes what effort, it is in accordance with the noble path, in accordance with the four truths, and the effort that opens the path to going beyond sorrow, following and being in accordance with it, is called right effort. The Bodhisattva endowed with joy is one who, in the path being cultivated, has obtained non-forgetfulness of words and meanings. In this regard, it is said, "What is his right mindfulness?" and so on.

It is said to be "knowing" and so on. Very close abiding is constantly abiding in one-pointedness. Immovable means not being able to be moved by opposing factors. Mindfulness is in accordance with the correct view. Without deception is abandoning wrong views. Observing the faults of cyclic existence is contemplating afflictions, old age, death, and so on. Guiding is entering the path of nirvana. Mindfulness is not forgetting the words of the Dharma that has been spoken. Holding is not forgetting the meaning of the words that have been spoken. The so-called noble path refers to showing that one does not forget the Dharma that is practiced. A bodhisattva with great power is one who, on the path of cultivation, has fully attained the meaning of what has been contemplated. In this regard, what is his correct samadhi? and so on. Equality in reality, and equality in all dharmas, in terms of ultimate meaning, all dharmas have no difference, in emptiness they are of one taste and equal, and abiding in one-pointedness of mind is called correct samadhi. In order to show that meaning, it is said, "By abiding in what kind of samadhi?" and so on. In order to liberate all sentient beings from the obscurations of afflictions, abiding single-mindedly on that which is primordially pure and unchanging is correct samadhi. Entering the ultimate samadhi from certainty. Among them, right view is the limb of complete cutting off, because it cuts off that which is experienced in that way. Right thought is the limb of making others understand, because how he understands, if he thinks about it in his mind, he can speak words. Right speech, right action, and right livelihood are the three limbs of making others believe, because they believe in the pure things such as views in sequence. Among them, asking with right speech how one understands, and saying in the manner of prophecy, "This person's view is pure," will make others believe. The limit of right action is not doing what should not be done, and with perfect conduct towards coming and going, etc., one believes in the purity of discipline. With right livelihood, robes, etc.
