It is said that by generating (mind) one can be free and go as one wishes. It means that by abiding in samadhi and so on, without relying on other causes and conditions, merely by generating the thought "things should be like this," one can become free as one wishes. Completely purified means thoroughly cleared and made capable. Extremely abiding in the root means abiding in the root of faith and so on, or the four immeasurables such as love. To go everywhere means to be universally pervasive and to walk in all Buddha fields. Unobstructed like a red wind means to walk unobstructed like a red wind. Exhausting the sky means that like the sky, it will not diminish even until the end of the future. The four inexhaustible legs of miraculous power have been described. In order to proclaim the supremacy of faith, the supremacy of diligence, the supremacy of mindfulness, the supremacy of samadhi, and the supremacy of wisdom, the venerable Sharadvatiputra, also said that the five faculties of the Bodhisattvas are inexhaustible, and so on. These are also inexhaustible because the Dharma and things to be believed are inexhaustible. Therefore, believing in these and so on is also inexhaustible. Here, too, one should know the manner of proclamation and explanation. Among them, from "What are the five faculties?" to "faculty of wisdom" is the manner of proclamation. The rest is the manner of explanation. The Bodhisattva of supreme faith is one who has truly entered the faculty of faith, and among worldly faiths, possesses the supreme, ultimate, excellent, becoming a teacher, and incomparable faith that transcends the world. Based on this, it is said, "What is the faculty of faith?" and so on. Just as with the supremacy of faith, it is applied up to the supremacy of wisdom. Faith itself is a faculty, so it is the faculty of faith, and the meaning of faculty will be explained later. "With what faith" refers to the object, meaning "with what mind is one pleased and trusts." "Desire for the four dharmas" refers to the object, that is, to trust in these dharmas in the same way. For example, from samsara

Starting from the syllable 'Va', up to not committing sins even for the sake of life, this is the first dharma. From 'having faith in the conduct of a Bodhisattva' to 'not generating desire for other vehicles', this is the second dharma. From 'being truthful to all dharmas' to 'not lying dormant', this is the third dharma. From 'powers and fearlessness, etc.' to 'accomplishing those dharmas correctly', this is the fourth dharma. 'Having faith in the worldly right view that exists in samsara' refers to the ordinary people who are not noble ones, who have the view that actions, results, and the Three Jewels, etc., exist. This is called the worldly right view, which is having faith in that view of existence. Therefore, it is said, 'relying on the ripening of karma,' etc. 'That' refers to that Bodhisattva who has faith in the worldly right view. 'Relying on the ripening of karma' means believing that the ripening of karma exists. 'Having faith in the conduct of a Bodhisattva' means having faith and trust in the grounds and the perfections, and the qualities of those. 'Entering that conduct' means entering the conduct of the grounds and the perfections. 'From also' means from after entering. 'Not generating desire for other vehicles' means not practicing the Hearer vehicle, etc. 'Being truthful to all dharmas' is connected to 'having faith,' which means having faith that all dharmas themselves are truthful, and having faith in the profound meaning of dependent arising, etc., which is the definitive meaning. 'Truthful' means emptiness. 'Profound definitive meaning' means the non-inverted meaning, which is difficult for others to comprehend. 'Dependent arising' means arising from causes and conditions, and is not unborn. 'Faith' means believing that it is so. 'Not lying dormant to all views' means not lying dormant to the imprints of inverted views, etc. 'Having faith in powers and fearlessness, etc.' means believing that the Tathagata has qualities and having faith. 'Those' refers to striving for powers and fearlessness themselves. 'The Bodhisattva of supreme diligence' refers to those who are diligent...
