To make effort with diligence. What definitely arises from feeling is the understanding that all methods of seeking liberation from feeling are empty. The phrase "I am with feeling fully endowed with wisdom and knowledge" means that with feeling endowed with uncontaminated wisdom, with feeling endowed with uncontaminated wisdom, one knows that all feelings are emptiness. The phrase "skillful means to completely sever all feelings" means that by understanding all feelings as empty, even when experiencing pleasant feelings, etc., one can skillfully avoid generating attachment and aversion. The phrase "seized by great compassion" refers to the root of virtue arising from being endowed with great compassion. In order to show other categories of mindfulness of feeling, it is also said, "Why is feeling mentioned again?" etc. The phrase "unrealized feeling becomes suffering" means that experiencing feeling without realizing that it is without substance, that feeling becomes the cause of suffering. The phrase "feeling realized by wisdom" means that experiencing feeling, but the feeling realized as empty by wisdom, becomes the cause of generating uncontaminated bliss. The phrase "nothing becomes feeling" means that the agent of experiencing feeling, such as self, sentient beings, etc., as mentioned before, does not exist. Rather, distorted conceptions and clinging themselves are feeling, that is the meaning. Therefore, it is directly stated, "Therefore, clinging is." Alternatively, clinging and so on are the cause of the arising of feeling, therefore they are called feeling. Clinging is clinging to the existence of a self. Complete grasping is grasping as "mine." Approaching and taking is conceiving that mind and mental factors exist. Object is focusing on the existence of external objects such as form. Inversion is the four inversions, such as conceiving self in what is without self. Discrimination is conceiving the existence of self and what belongs to self. View is the view of self and sentient beings, etc., and their predispositions, or the predispositions of other afflictions. Eye consciousness and so on is conceiving that the faculties exist, and these are also the cause of the arising of feeling.

The feeling of consciousness in the eye, like Urva. Alternatively, complete grasping is feeling, meaning that grasping something unreal as real is the meaning of feeling. The feeling of near grasping refers to the synonym of feeling as taking the five aggregates of suffering. The object of focus is feeling, meaning that focusing on form, etc., is the meaning of feeling. In order to further explain other categories of feeling, therefore, "other categories," etc., are explained. It means that the categories mentioned below, although different in name, are actually the same. Feeling alone means completely alone. What is called the consciousness of the mind refers to the feeling whose nature is the essence of consciousness, or the feeling that arises from the consciousness of the mind. The feeling that arises from the inner near grasping is the inner feeling. The feeling that arises from the cause of the external object of form, etc., is the external feeling. There are three kinds of feelings, which refer to the distinct recognition of things in the past, present, and future as feeling, or the feeling that arises from the cause of distinct recognition of things. The four elements are earth, water, fire, and wind. Recognizing them is feeling, or the feeling that arises from the cause of recognizing them. Because there are four objects, the feeling that focuses on them is also divided into four types. Five aggregates of attention means that paying attention to the five aggregates is feeling, or the feeling that arises from the cause of paying attention to the five aggregates. Completely understanding the six sense sources means that completely understanding the six sense sources is feeling, or the feeling that arises from the cause of complete understanding. There are seven kinds of feelings, namely the so-called seven abodes of consciousness. The seven abodes of consciousness refer to the abode of consciousness with different bodies and different thoughts, the abode of consciousness with different bodies but one thought, the abode of consciousness with one body but different thoughts, the abode of consciousness with one body and one thought, and the three formless realms, totaling seven. Among them, sentient beings with different bodies and different thoughts refer to humans, etc.
