It means the absence of things. Alternatively, permanence and stability, etc., are characteristics attributed to the self. Since the body does not possess such characteristics, it is empty of inherent existence. In this context, permanence is due to the absence of impermanence. Stability is due to the absence of momentary cessation, as it also exists at other times. Solidity is due to the absence of a break in the continuum. Immovability is due to the absence of being transformed by beneficial things. Invulnerability is due to the absence of being harmed by suffering. The unchanging nature is due to the absence of transforming into many different forms. Alternatively, it is permanent because it is immovable. It is solid because it is unchanging. Do not consider this body as mine, wherein "this body" refers to the body of the Bodhisattva himself. "Do not consider as mine" means do not consider that body as the purpose of mine. Alternatively, do not be attached to that body. Alternatively, do not grasp that body as self, as it has become separated from all bodies. Through this body of mine, devoid of essence, may I manifestly and perfectly awaken, wherein "my body devoid of essence" refers to that which arises from the impure substances of parents and the causes and conditions of karma and afflictions, and is devoid of self, sentient beings, and the reality of phenomena, hence it is devoid of essence, meaning to rely on that which is devoid of essence. "Manifestly and perfectly awaken" means that the Dharma of essence should be made manifest and attained, that is the meaning. Among these, the Dharma of essence is the three bodies: the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya, and the Nirmanakaya. The term "Tathagata body" is intended to include all three bodies. Starting from "my Tathagata body" up to "to be accomplished" indicates the Dharma to be attained through Dharma. That Dharmakaya is also to be understood in five aspects: as having become the fruit of the Paramitas, as destroying afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge, as being unshaken by those two, as abiding at all times, and as having become superior to all. The term "Dharmakaya" indicates the ground and having become the fruit of the Paramitas, the Dharmakaya of the Tathagatas and the Dharma of the Paramitas.

It is the body that arises from the cause of accomplishing all things. The name Vajra Body indicates the destruction of the two obscurations of affliction and knowledge, because like a vajra, the body with the nature of selflessness eliminates the obscurations of affliction and knowledge. The name Imperishable Body indicates that it cannot be destroyed by those two. The Dharmakaya is not suddenly stained by the obscurations of affliction and knowledge. The name Stable Body indicates that it abides at all times, because it never decays and abides until the existence of samsara. The name Exceeding all three realms indicates becoming superior to all. Exceeding all three realms, because it exceeds even the body of liberation by the Shravakas. By "My body has many faults" etc., it shows that the Sambhogakaya is to be obtained. The so-called "My body has many faults and accumulations of faults" means that in the past it was also born from karma and afflictions and the impurity of parents, and after being born, it also becomes the basis for the arising of afflictions such as desire and the arising of various sufferings, so although it has many faults and defects. However, it means that merit will also arise from that body, and by generating merit, one can rely on that defective body. To obtain the Tathagata's body free from all faults means to obtain the Tathagata's Sambhogakaya, free from all afflictions and the two obscurations of knowledge. Because seeing that benefit, therefore, with the power of individual examination, abandoning the body of the great elements, it means that if this body without essence is used well, one can see the benefits or merits mentioned below, with the power of individual examination, as mentioned below, it will become the nourishment of sentient beings, earth, water, fire, wind, etc., and my body will also be exhausted and used in that way. My body also, etc., means that in order to do all the things of sentient beings, this body is exhausted and must be done to the end. Various doors are said to be sentient beings.
