Just as it nourishes all sentient beings, the minds of those Bodhisattvas equally become the sustenance for the growth of the roots of virtue of all sentient beings. This is the general summary. Pure application also has two aspects: the application to subdue others, as indicated by "subduing others and utterly destroying all evil assemblies," where subduing others refers to demons and non-Buddhists, etc. They themselves possess groups that have entered the wrong path, hence they are the assemblies of evil ones. "Utterly destroying" refers to subduing them. The application to abandon all unfavorable factors is indicated by "completely victorious from the battlefield," etc., referring to being completely victorious from the battlefield of afflictions such as desire. Who can raise the victory banner and flags that are known as all the afflictions of the three realms? Because they are no longer controlled by the afflictions that have been abandoned, they are invincible warriors. The cause for the purity of the second repetition is also explained in three ways: being fearless through profound realization refers to the profound Dharma of the Buddha, and being without fear and trepidation in the retinue due to the ten powers and fearlessness. Fear and trepidation refer to the necessary conditions that cannot be accepted within the retinue. Because those Bodhisattvas have obtained forbearance of the profound non-arising Dharma of the Buddha, they realize all liberations of the non-arising of all Dharmas, and because they possess the ten powers and fearlessness, they are without fear arising from ignorance in all places they go, whether it be among the royal class, Brahmins, Vaishyas, Shudras, retinues of gods and Brahma, monks, nuns, non-Buddhists, and retinues of demons. Comprehending the Middle Way of dependent origination is indicated by "entering dependent origination," etc., where entering dependent origination means comprehending its nature. How is it comprehended? It is stated as being free from the views of existence, non-existence, and both. Phenomena arise from causes and conditions and are not self-arisen; their essence

In order to realize the absence of inherent existence, one is free from the view of existence. Realizing that it is not merely produced by causes and conditions, one is also free from the view of non-existence. Being free from the views of both extremes of existence and non-existence, it is therefore called entering the Middle Way. Understanding that there is no agent within and being free from the extremes of permanence and annihilation, from what is called "I" and "mine" up to what is called "being free from all arising as views," has been explained. Holding that "I am" and clinging to the existence of self is the view of self. Clinging to what is mine is the view of what belongs to self. Holding that the mind is "I" and clinging to the uninterrupted continuity of the mind is the view of sentient beings. As long as the body exists, clinging to the self called "life" as residing in the body is the view of life. Clinging to the self as being born and arising in all lifetimes is the view of a being who is born. Clinging to the body and the continuum of existence as being nourished and created by the self is the view of nourishment. Clinging to the existence of a capable person within is the view of a person. Clinging to repeatedly transmigrating is the view of a person. Clinging to being born from the lord of beings, "Ishvara," is the view of the son of Ishvara and being born from Ishvara. Clinging to all virtues and non-virtues, etc., as being done by the permanent self is the view of an agent. Clinging to the results of actions as also being experienced by the self is the view of an experiencer. Clinging to the self as never being destroyed is the view of permanence. Clinging to not being born again after being destroyed once is the view of annihilation. Seeing impermanence in all conditioned phenomena is the view of arising and ceasing. By abandoning all these wrong views, it is therefore called "being free from all arising as views." Self-nature purity is also shown in two ways: becoming a treasury of all dharmas by obtaining dharani is shown by what is called "dharani and the king of sutras, and sealed by the Tathagata." In order to obtain dharani that does not forget meaning and words, in order to hold all the meanings of the sutras without forgetting, it is therefore called the king of sutras. For example, in any sutra where the meanings of all sutras are gathered, it is called the king of sutras. The Tathagata
