To strive in meditation. To contemplate the meaning of what is heard is to contemplate the very meaning of the Dharma that is heard at the time of such thought, without relying solely on the words of the mind. To repeatedly seek is to repeatedly examine the Dharma that is contemplated. To be without turbidity in the mind is to not become foolish or unclear in the mind at that time. Alternatively, to be without turbidity in the mind is to have faith and trust in the Dharma itself, thereby purifying the mind. To completely eliminate the obscurations is to suppress and eliminate the five obscurations, such as desire and longing, without allowing them to arise. To know how to emerge from downfalls is to be skilled in the means of achieving purity or liberation from faults that have arisen, or to be skilled in practicing antidotes. To be without regret is to not regret having done good. To be without arising is to prevent afflictions from arising in the mind. To make practice the essence is to not be satisfied with mere words, but to diligently practice the Dharma as it has been heard. To be devoted to the Dharma is, at the time of hearing, for the sake of holding the words of the Dharma as it has been taught. To enter the Dharma is, at the time of thinking, for the sake of obtaining the meaning of the Dharma that has been heard. To abide in the Dharma is to repeatedly meditate on the meaning that has been obtained through thinking, and therefore to be close to the fruit. To be endowed with discipline is to not be overcome by opposing forces such as afflictions. Like a fire burning on one's head and clothes, it is to quickly accomplish all practices. To not be attached to that is to practice without attachment to the things mentioned above, in a way that does not fixate. Or to not dwell in distraction. To not relax discipline is to not diminish even the smallest aspects of discipline. To not abandon diligence is to never abandon the diligence of accomplishing good. To have superior progress is for wisdom to increase and grow greater and greater. To not like busyness is to not be pleased to dwell among many people. To delight in solitude is to be pleased to dwell in solitude. To turn towards solitary places is to dwell in solitary places and meditate on samadhi. To be content with the noble lineage is to abide in the four noble lineages. To be unwavering is to not abandon the qualities that have been cultivated.

Not remembering worldly mantras means not studying worldly knowledge, and also not constantly focusing on and contemplating the seers. Seeking Dharma beyond the world means listening to and seeking the Dharma of the scriptures. Not forgetting means not forgetting the Dharma that has been heard and practiced. Following the meaning means thinking and contemplating in accordance with understanding the meaning of the Dharmadhatu. Being in accordance with the path of wisdom means attaining the eightfold noble path through wisdom or prajna. Holding firmly with stability means that the object of whatever vows have been taken does not change, and the body, speech, and mind are firmly guarded. Following wisdom with conditions means being in accordance with the knowledge of dependent origination. Alternatively, because of knowing that all dharmas are of the nature of dependent origination, the cause of non-dual wisdom is accumulated. Being adorned with shame and embarrassment means constantly not committing evil deeds in relation to oneself and others. Striving to follow wisdom means that all actions are practiced and cultivated for the sake of attaining wisdom. The eye of wisdom is completely pure, which means being skilled in all dharmas of the world and beyond the world. Wisdom is extremely pure, which is because there is no obscuration of what is to be known and afflictions. Wisdom is vast, which is because it is focused on the Mahayana. Wisdom is not timid, which is because it does not incline towards the Hinayana. Wisdom is not distracted, which is because there is no attachment to various views. Wisdom is extremely clear, which is because its nature is completely pure. Directly knowing means knowing the three times without obscuration. Not relying on the merits of others means that one's own attainment of merits does not depend on others, nor is one influenced by others. Not boasting of one's own merits means that merits are perfect and completely fulfilled. Praising the merits of others means that there is no jealousy. Doing good deeds means only doing good deeds. Not contradicting the ripening of karma means that even though one understands the Dharma of emptiness, one still believes that the ripening of karma exists.
