For these, consciousness is the eye consciousness. Similarly, it should also be applied to the ear and so on. The six aggregates of consciousness are called consciousness. Among them, the so-called inner peace and not wandering outwards, etc., means that there is no conceptualization anywhere, and there is no conceptualization of external phenomena either. Relying on wisdom, there is no conceptualization of any dharma, the so-called non-conceptualization, is to abide in the wisdom of non-conceptualization, there is no conceptualization of any inner dharma, and there is no clinging to characteristics, there is no conceptualization of any external dharma, and there is no clinging to characteristics, this is wisdom. Wanting to further explain other classifications of consciousness and wisdom, therefore it is said that other consciousness arises from the object, etc. From arising consciousness from the object of form and sound, etc., consciousness arises from the object, this shows that it arises from the condition of the object. The so-called consciousness arises from attention, because from the arising of consciousness to wanting to see, etc., it arises depending on attention. The so-called consciousness arises from complete conceptualization, refers to the consciousness arising from the nature of complete conceptualization, that is, the habit of the Alaya consciousness, which shows that it arises from the cause of the cause. The so-called without clinging, etc., because there is no conceptualization of self, there is no clinging. Because there is no conceptualization of what belongs to me, there is no supreme clinging. This is the object that does not conceptualize form as the nature of what is to be taken. This is consciousness, not conceptualizing that it is the one who can perceive it, therefore there is no consciousness, there is no conceptualization of self and dharma, this is wisdom. Wanting to further explain other aspects of consciousness and wisdom, therefore it is said that other dharmas of aggregation, etc., that is, for the dharmas belonging to the three realms that are produced by causes and conditions, consciousness arises by abiding or focusing on them. But the unconditioned emptiness transcends the place and the one who abides, as well as the object and the one who focuses on it, therefore it does not cause consciousness to arise, and consciousness does not conceptualize it.

Therefore, that which arises in dependence on conditioned phenomena is consciousness. That which is known as unconditioned, namely knowing all phenomena as having the nature of emptiness, is wisdom. To show another aspect, it is said that it abides in arising and ceasing, etc. In short, that which relies on phenomena that have arising and ceasing is consciousness. That which relies on phenomena that do not arise or cease, and comprehends that there is no arising or cessation, is wisdom. To show the importance of diligence, it is said, "What is a sutra of definitive meaning? What is a sutra of provisional meaning?" etc. What is meant by "sutras that show the way to enter the path" is that sutras that are explained for the purpose of meditating on or realizing the nature of the noble path are called sutras of provisional meaning, because they show the path that leads to nirvana. What is meant by "sutras that show the way to enter the fruit" is that those sutras that are spoken for the purpose of realizing the fruit that has not been attained are sutras of definitive meaning. What is meant by "sutras that show the way to establish conventional truth" is that those sutras that are spoken for the purpose of establishing that many conventional terms of conventional truth exist only as terms are sutras of provisional meaning. What is meant by "sutras that show the way to ultimate truth" is that those sutras that are spoken for the purpose of showing the nature of non-arising and non-cessation as ultimate truth are sutras of definitive meaning. What is meant by "sutras that show the way to engage in actions and deeds" is that those sutras that show that if one performs virtuous actions, one will experience desirable results, and if one performs non-virtuous actions, one will experience undesirable results, are sutras of provisional meaning. What is meant by "sutras that are taught for the purpose of exhausting actions and afflictions" is that those sutras that teach many methods for exhausting actions and afflictions, for the purpose of exhausting them, are sutras of definitive meaning. What is meant by "sutras that are taught for the purpose of explaining all afflictions" is that those sutras that explain the phenomena that belong to the side of all afflictions,
